this is the grow that I am flowering now. two romulans and one n y c diesel. the diesel is the one with the fat leaves. we are going to take two clones from it and the tall romulan.

this is the first night of twelve twelve. there are in three gallon buckets, with two and a half gallons of water in each. you can see we use a big air pump for each bucket. using six inch air stones in each one. you cannot have too much air moving around in your bucket.

tried these new round disc air stones on my last grow, they got all fouled up and the water got bad and killed my last grow in a matter of days, so I'm really hoping for a good grow this time. but I usually am.

they were vegged for two weeks under a one hundred and fifty h p s. I will be using general hydroponics three part and awesome blossom as usual.

we put two home depot cabinets back to back and we have a four hundred h p s to flower with.

if anyone has any suggestions, feel free dudes.

I don't know if you can see it too well, but we took a big fan, took the base off, stuck it in a pail, filled it with rocks and got a nice sized fan with a really small footprint.

nice in a small area when every inch is valuable.

who says stoners aren't on the ball huh?

they are doing pretty good. it's been eleven days in twelve twelve. one of the romulans really took off. the diesel is staying nice and short and bushy, we put it on another bucket (we have a few loose ones floating around) to keep it close to the light. when we move a plant closer to the light, we use a white collar to keep the heat off the top of the bubbler.

after we change out the water on sunday night, we'll start tying down the taller romulan.

side note....

damn kids, I swear. use up all the batteries in his m p three player. the camera takes one picture and dies. no more in the house. but at least he felt guilty enough to do the photo work so I could put it up tonight. this was taken at midnight in southern california.

we change out the water every sunday night. do it when we veg too. plants seem to like a routine. or I could just be stoned a lot.

diesel is starting to smell.

wakka

here are pictures after last nights water change out. two romulans, and one n y c diesel.

as you can see, they have grown quite a bit since last weeks. we tied down the romulan that took off like a rocket. have it layed out between the other two plants. after every water change, we give the plants a one eighty spin to keep the light semi even. of course if the plant is tied down, we don't.

all those little plant screams when we do....

they all seem to be budding nicely. from what I understand these all have around a ten week flower so eight weeks to go.

that's a long time dudes!

also took two clones from each. they are in peat with rooting gel under the new dome. got some really good advice on chat the other night. really good.

I'm going to have to learn how to keep a few mothers in soil and clone to keep myself safely in meds.

wow, a dirt farmer.

heh, we have a p p m meter, but we never use it. we pretty much follow the recipe on the general hydroponics bottles. but we use a little less then they say, and as we go along towards the fifth or sixth week, we back off on the micro more than they recommend.

we also use awesome blossom as a boost. we tried a little epsom salts once, but didn't like the results.

I have no clue what the temps are in the buckets. we keep the p h around five point five and six.

since I can't do a lot of the work, my wife does most of it. but, between working two jobs and school, there is limited time to do some of the finer detail work any more.

which is how we lost the last grow. I couldn't see that the new air stones we were trying had gotten plugged, and it only took about three days before the water fouled and killed them.

always hoping for the best, but expecting the worst I'm afraid.

yo wakka...how often are ya changing the res???

if your temps in your cab/room are about 75-80 then the res temps should be fine.I'm just going off my cab temps and res temps.shouldn't be to much diff like.

could it be your nutes turning funny on yas????i had some nutes a few weeks back and they stunk the place to fook.i had to take the shit back and change it for diff brand.

just cant see it being the same prob if this is happening with diff types of air stones...

just my thoughts...im a water baby to like

they were the same kind of airstones.

sorry I didn't update any pictures. we've all gotten the same damn cold here. sucks.

but anyway, these were taken wednesday. n y c diesel is still hanging in there. not sure what is going to happen, but if it looks like it does today on sunday when we change out water, it's history. we can't waste time on something that isn't happening, you know?

anyway these were taken on monday night. the two romulan are kicking it big time now. about half done. if they keep going at this rate, they should be major in a few more weeks.

this sunday on the weekly trade out, we're putting their first big drink. that's always fun. one romulan stayed reasonably short, while the other grew big time.

still waiting to see if the clones will take. still hoping...

my son told me he took photos on monday and wednesday. he didn't like the ones from monday, so these are from wednesday.

wakka
05-30-2006, 02:22 PM
o k, n y c diesel is in the archives.

but I guess it's a good thing. these two romulan beauties need all the room they can get. one is all tied back and laid out, the other isn't nearly as tall, but it's feeling pretty bulky with about three or four weeks to go.

once again, we follow the bottle amounts but in just slightly smaller amounts. three tablespoons of awesome blossom per bucket as well. the awesome blossom says it prefers a higher p h than we are keeping it at, but these seem to prefer a little lower p h.

bottle says six to six point five, we have been keeping it at five and a half to six.

still hoping for the diesel clones to root.

thanks for the good vibes dude. if these clones don't root, we'll just keep giving it a go. next clones we get from a club, we'll hack of a clone or two and try again.

I really like romulan. it's very good meds when you give it a few extra days. and yeah, from what I understand trichs are coming in real strong. it's ben hot and dry here the last few days. add the air conditioner going all the time and it's been real good for them.

we got them at a very, very nice club in l a. they were giving a half gram of meds and the use of a volcano when we picked up the clones. I was so very wasted on the way home.

clones are starting to die off. yellow leaves. I know they are starving. any suggestions with what I do have here?

clonex clone solution, and the g h three part. oh and the gel, which is..... dyna gel. should I go foliar or feed at the root?

any help would be awesome. as much as I don't mind driving in and getting clones, and the worlds best philly cheese steak, I really need to get a handle on cloning. it's a lot more important than the worlds best philly cheese steak. and their cheese sticks rock.

having a club next to great food and giving free meds away, let me tell ya...

wakka

so, it was late. mrs wakka was really tired. I was really baked. figure, aw what the hell. three of six have already passed. these are obviously starving, have no idea what to do, foliar or root. root or foliar...

what the hell, lets do both. so with the same strength in a spray bottle, we sprayed a almost half and half clonex and water mix. sprayed the leaves and around the outside of the peat pellets. I mean what were they going to do, die on me? and mrs wakka sprayed them good too. in for a penny, in for a pound dudes.

so anyway, we get up this morning, they have greened up a little. cool enough, so there is hope. but mrs wakka, she said we aren't taking any chances. and off we go to the club in l a.

this is a very nice club. I like it there a lot. everybody is super nice, and very helpful. we got one grapefruit, one power plant and one a k fourty eight. I know it is supposed to be fourty seven, but I guess it's like going to eleven instead of ten.

nice place, gave me a free gram of some really nice lavender and pointed us to the volcano lounge where I proceeded to get nicely baked. we grab our philly cheese and hit the ten freeway home. munching and jamming to our ipod all the way home.

we get home, already had the veg cabinet ready, popped the clones into baskets and dropped them into the veg box. time to grab a smoke and take ten in the bedroom.

walk into the bedroom, figure it's time to open the clone dome and give them a little air. mrs wakka walks in behind me, looks over my shoulder and says......

oh wow, look, roots......

AK48 is an easy to grow plant of medium height and produces good yields quite quickly. Extremely STRONG odour and smoke. Take extra care for odour control when growing near neighbours. The name was given not out of any idea of violence, but more in association with the one hit wonder that the smoke is. Quality without compromise makes AK-48 from Nirvana Seeds suitable for commercial grows or home use. These plants have a short flowering period for a sativa, producing compact, not too leafy buds that gleam with a coat of resin crystals. Winning SEVEN prizes!! in Cannabis competitions, including second prize for the Best Sativa in the 1999 High Times Cannabis Cup, prove AK-48 is a favourite to smoke as well as to grow.

that was what I found on it. starting tonight, I'll start another grow journal in the hydro section. we do try to keep a rotation going whenever possible.

nope, they were clones taken from the plants we have flowering now. they were taken about two and a half weeks ago.
If they're still green, they have roots. Feed them, just like CB said. If you want, start them on a mild solution, but be prepared to kick them up to regular strength shortly. And you want to feed from the roots only. Foliar feeding at this point slows down root growth, which is the opposite of what you want to happen. Clones mature to the level of the moms a lot faster than seeds do.:D

wakka
06-04-2006, 11:06 PM
yeah, fred, except for the heat wave we got going, it was a great day. clones, free meds and the worlds best philly cheese steaks dude. would have had some fun with mrs wakka, but it's awful damn hot, and if I had touched one inch of that sweaty body, I would have gotten hurt....

going into fifth week. lessing the amount of micro to one tablespoon per gallon. just a touch of the veg, and I mean just a touch. three tablespoons of florabloom per gallon and one and a half tablespoons of awesome blossom per gallon. always add a little splash of hydrogen peroxide with every change. p h at five point seven.

we have one tall romulan and one short romulan. I figure they both came from the same mom, but I couldn't swear to it. the tall one has a lot more bud than the short one. and since it is so layed out, the secondary buds in the middle are directly under the light and are really loving it big time.

getting well to the stinks!

changed out both air stones and hoses. mrs wakka said both stones looked o k, but we're not taking chances any more.

Hi Everyone,
Mrs. Wakka for Wakka. He is still feeling a little under the weather, but he wanted me to send these pictures for him. We have just over 1 week untill harvest. The tallest Romulan has grown to be magnificent! It is huge. The short one is a very very nice plant. But the big one is the largest we have ever grown.
Due to finances, this flowering period we kept the nutrients on the light side as not to run out before they were done. Normally I put a good amount the last few times we add them. I dont know if that means anything or not.
Wakka should be back in a short while. He says hi and smiles at you all.
I've included pictures we took this Sunday.

sorry it has been a while since this was updated, but that's just the way it rolls around here sometimes dudes....

never the less! we have harvested, got some very very nice buds. I did run out before these were ready, but we have a dehydrator with the heating element disconnected that does a rather nice job of getting an even dry, if not curing rather quickly.

and this from someone that has used the microwave once or twice.

blech...

we got nine full jars of meds. this time though we got more of the bigger variety of buds and less pop corn buds. nice clean taste, strong buzz. probably could have let them go another week for a much stronger body buzz, but the fates didn't allow us that luxury this time. maybe next time.

is nap producing, and that is a good thing. lots and lots of trichs. getting a lot of kief every day. save, save, save, save.....
