Where did you get yours from LL?
Looks like someone could make that with an old (or new) BBQ spit motor... Anyone know where to buy metal screen of the appropriate mesh size?

Michaels ( a arts and crafts store) had brass wire mesh in packets that contained a 12x24 sheet. I strapped some across a 1 gallon bucket filled with trim and used it as a shaker.
Also look for a local t-shirt shop that does silk screening. silk screen works well too...

hey all.....guess you've been searching the archives eh? ;)
i saw the new posts and thought....WHOA....have been ignoring people
then i saw the posts were all from today ....:D
the screen in ours is not metal...it is monofilament poly (aka silk screen)
i am uncertain about posting the link to where i bought it....i will PM you the link to where we got ours from....it was mail order, and we had zero trouble with it coming across the border....
the customs slip on it even said a smaller amount of value on the package so we paid less customs too....which i thought was super cool of the company to do
i am sure you can fabricate your own tumbler quite easily
drawbacks- not too many drawbacks... we wish we had gone with the larger one instead of the little one
the turning speed is fairly slow...could be faster
and as far as putting leaf in...its very simple to open the one end and remove/replace leaf matter ...the opening is covered by slim board and secured by wingnuts
if anyone besides the people already posted in this thread would like the link to where this purchase was made please PM me and i will forward you the info :)
