Well... I want to journal the story of 5 little beans:D It was from a really fruity bag. Not too sticky but it was really fragrant. Stoney too:cool:
I have a bunch of seedlings already underway but these five are bagseed and a little more advanced;)
Everyone that watches how I grow knows I'm only organic. This blended 3-3-3 is a very gentle fert to use on babies. My medium is half soil, half peat moss with a touch of bonemeal. They are ~3 weeks old in 4" pots, 77 degrees, 250HPS on 18/6 with a humidifier and a touch of jime.
Pics tomorrow:rolleyes:

sounds like a nice time......think i'll check this out.....
i've been debating going organic. i like the idea of it.

ahh:D
pics! woohoo!
These started under heavy fluorescent light in a brave attempt to keep the stems short and give them a healthy start. I now am a big fan of starting under soft light. It's like breast feeding a baby or giving it a bottle:lol:
They were fert fertilized @ 3 nodes with a 1/2 dose of 3-3-3. Everyday I spray my whole room with a 1/4 strength solution of 2-1-6 foliar. Weed, cactus, flowers, fruit trees etc.... They all get it and love it;)

These are my lights and terrarium. Can you see my impatiens and zebra plant?!?:D 3 daylight and 3 kitchen/bathroom make 240 watts of intense, wide spectrum soft light. Great for babies:rolleyes:

Nice work Filla. Can't you get them flo's any closer together? :D
I understand your thought on flo's and young plants. I only strted using em for this grow and will never go back. Super low plants with a great stem/branch structure to em.
What lighting are they going under?

that terrerium is awesome.
i like starting them under softer light as well, but mostly because of cost. 400w at 24/0 gets a bit spendy......
seems like your dug what wa were doin.......
nice lookin' plants.

Burnsy. I should try a whole grow under fluro eh?!?:D I bet I could fit 2 more bulbs in there but I didn't have the fixtures:lol: They're under 250HPS. They've been there for about a week now.
AL it is pretty cool eh? Best thing ever for cloning. No salt, great light, 100% humidity, lots of earthworms, perfect soil. Stems root within 3 days:D

They're under 250HPS.
If I'd have read the thread correctly, I'd have known it! Have you read any side by side Flo vs HPS grow comparisons Filla? I've got a whole article complete with pics here. Maybe worth a post in the correct forum.
Looking good Filla.

Sounds good:D As most of us know, HID lighting is more intense but an array of several types of fluorescent often provide a more complete spectrum. Post taht HID vs. fluoro in 'Basics of Cultivation' Burnsy:D That'd make a great early addition!

Hello filla! Nice babies you have there. Is the 250hps going to be your flowering light or are you using larger? Im working with one now and trying to judge how my harvest are per plant so if it is your flowering light, Im very interested in this one. Hell, Im interested even if its not!!
A little side note to the whole spectrum debate, When I used a mixed HPS/CFL flowering light I got my best results. A 150hps as the main source with 2 22w 5500K CFLs. My buds were larger then Im getting with a 250 hps, but not as dense or as plentiful. As soon as Im able to bend into my cabinet I'll be adding the blue back to flower.

Thanks johnny:D
dredank I agree. The recovery time is amazing. It's the loose soil, full light and a saturated atmosphere. I have dead foliage decomposing in there as well. The CO2 must help too eh:D
I don't know yet Shadows. I might get that 1000 kickin again but it's doubtful. My room is covered in mylar anyways so... Maybe I will fire it up. I have 30 seedlings that will need the light i a few weeks so...
We'll see;)
Hey! I have 4 stars:D

sup Filla floros are great for starts, I use nearly 450watts of tube and CFL in the later stages of growth and flower. The 2700K CFL are in the correct spectrum for that to happen.
TENSIXFI U old dog...here I was suggestin' you make a great addition to the board, when yer already here......
Anybody got about 100 feet of 3/4" chrome link....?

ahh yes. no worries bro. I have everything under control except the crowd. I guess the crowd wants an update eh?
Well... Of those 5 bagseed I've had a lot of experience:D I FIM'd 4 and all but one I have to say "Fuck I Missed!" One I did properly and I'm gonna get 4-5 colas when it fills out. The rest of them didn't develop any new hats but only boosted secondary branching. Hey, that's the risk of FIM though right?!? RIGHT?!? This is excellent in my books as that is what type of grower I am right now. I want lots of side branching. One of my plants I topped and threw under fluorescent. The light it had was of excellent quality but of poor intensity. The growth is lagging but it's happy. As long as it's happy:D
Don't worry profound. These little treasures are gonna veg until my seeds finish;)
AzGrowa you say 2700K? Do you use any tubes with that colour?
Pics on the 10th:D

Hmmm... turns out pics on Dec 10th means just a little note today, Jan 20th:D
Those plants are 3 feet tall now. I repotted them from one gallon round pots to 4 gallon square pails. My soil is heavy though. Half is clay and the rest is compost and recycled soil. Only Gaia would really know what is in the recyclced stuff. I know there are lots of worms, perlite, peat, sphagnum, roots, bark, zeolite, sand and clay. There is other stuff but... yeah, it's obscure and enigmatic:p

haha..what's a coupla' daze?
very nice Filla!!...this year I took three cuttings from my tomato plant outside..just stuck my index finger in the dirt about a foot from the stem and stuck the cuttings in..packed it..and sure enuff..they rooted..so before the first frost hit I dug them up and planted all three in a larger sized nursery planter. I put them in the flowering room and just recently had to put transplant them into a 5 gl. bucket. these mofo's are taking off and I'm getting a bunch of small green tomatoes. I prolly shudda pruned them up some ..still might. I also put a miniature rose in there that someone gave the warden-wife and was on death-row...it too has recovered and has a rosebud about to bloom..it will go in the flowerbeds this spring...it's a nice change from just mj.
FIM..haha..I always loved that name. I have not messed with it since Delta introduced me to LST...I dunno how you clipped them but a 'new' pair of decent toenail clippers dipped in a 10-15% alcohol solution to sanitize may work for you. A magnifying glass may also help. 2cents
roots in 3 daze...wow!! ..cool!
Kudos! :D

oh yeah. did I show you my new light arrangement? eeeeeee I'm soo excited:D this light looks phenomenal:D I’ve had them in for about a week now and the difference is outstanding! these lights are about 4ft above my little trees. Footcandles? No idea. Not too intense but the spectrum is wild. the walls are all mylared as you can see but also covered in salt:( gotta wash it one day.
HPS/fluro combo. ya gotta try it

Thanks:D
The lineup isnt a great pic but that's what they looked like b4 I moved them:D
this is good timing actually. i should do this more often. xplant just before flowering. like the pros:D now i can load them with phosphorus with no worries of getting rootbound again. sooo....they will be on a strict diet of 2-5-7 and maybe a boost of 0-10-10 in a month.
