Howdy.
Can plants be pruned/topped once in flowering stage.

See, after a panic over dying leaves (now fixed -thanks for the advice) My plants are growing well. -Too well! One of them in a corner of my growtent has grown up past the highest point I can raise my light!
-They've been under a 12/12 flowering light since the 15 of march. Buds are sparse, but spreading...

Don't get me wrong, my plants are doing fine now, but too big for my space.
The lesson; don't veg grapefruit cannabis for a full month before flowering, unless you are outdoors.

I'm afraid my camera-phone's broken, so no pics :( I can only show you this pic of my growtent back in the veg cycle.

if you are in soil, you might want to consider a tomato cage if it is still limber enough. can kind of coil it in the cage. just a thought

you can also "break it's neck" a tecnique perfected by CB

say mel,

probly a bit late to break a neck now....might be a bit to woody like...

i would try the tie it over method first....

just be gentle and try to bend it a little each day.... if nothing else maybe a few cfl's point at just the part that is above your hid....

grow on

LST Low Stress Training

ties a loosely fitting but small enough to hold down string around the banch and bend it tothe point of desired level, being sure not ot bend or break the stem, be delicate and careful

good luck

I had a buddy who had the same problem , he just bowed it over carefully and said it worked real well ,and said after a while he got heavy budding underneath the bowing point.

hey there
when i had this prob i tied a loop around tip (down under crown),
then added a strong pice of string or fishing line and tied it to a weight..
i have about 40 different tape measures of all different sizes so i use these... have plant on outside of shade and change weight daily and she gets a nice slant
oh screw a screw into top of pot and tie off more string firm to aid in the lean/slant..
i wish i had a photo they r so much more explanitary..

anyways i hope it helps
take care and happy harvest

GO WITH THE L.S.T

As CB says defonately to late to top or snap but in future you could do that if you want when its earlier on during your flowering..
