Home treatment for Hypertension

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a serious condition
that affects a hell of alot of people. Blood
pressure is the force of blood against the walls of arteries.
High blood pressure is dangerous because it makes the heart
work harder to pump blood to the body and it contributes to
hardening of the arteries or atherosclerosis.

*A normal blood pressure is less than 130/85.

*High blood pressure is 140/90 or higher.

*If your blood pressure is between 120/80 and 140/90, then
you have prehypertension.

Home Remedies for High Blood Pressure:

Take two teaspoon of half onion juice and half honey once a
day for 1-2 weeks.
Eat 1 Papaya on an empty stomach daily for a month. Do not
eat anything after for about 2 hours.
Meat and egg cause blood pressure to rise more than any
other food. Avoid meats, sugar, tea, coffee, pickles, fried
food. Eat Garlic and Amla.
Drink 8-12 glass of ionised water daily.

sodium intake is important when you are controlling blood pressure. sodium chloride raises blood pressure so avoid it if you are trying to control your blood pressure.

also your cholesterol levels are important. if you have high cholesterol chances are that you have high blood pressure. high cholesterol means you have high levels of LDL (low-density lipoprotein) or "bad" cholesterol. it thickens the blood sometimes making it appear almost pink instead of red (in severe cases). its like water running through a hose, if you replace the water with jelly its a hell of alot harder to run it through the hose. it's important to take this into account because there is a positive correlation between cholesterol and blood pressure.

doctors these days like the idea that you are just "born" with bad cholesterol and the only way to control it is with drugs like lipitor. i dont believe this for a second and while genetics does effect how cholesterol is processed it's really the food you eat that does it. dont eat fast foods, eat fresh foods (organic preferrably...) like veggies and fruit, and whole grain. this will help much much more than any drug will.

avoid poly saturated fats.

GARLIC is the herb for the job =) use it for this (and an array of other things really)

have high blood pressure due to stress

I'm thinking you may have it backwards...

If you ate properly & exercised enough - you'd be healthier. If you were healthier you wouldn't have such high blood pressure. If you didn't have such high blood pressure you probably wouldn't feel so stressed or distressed in whatever specific situations. It's all about making your core strong and fine tuning your physical & mental presence.
