So lets hear everyones top 5 favorite strains to grow, and smoke, heres my favorites.:D

Grow: Ice, Skunk #1, white russian x white russian, White Widow, Blackberry.

Smoke: Amnesia Haze, MK-Ultra, Citral, Bubba Kush, OG Kush.

Well Grow......

I haven't grown a lot of strains but my favorite strain is AK-48. It is short, easy to train, don't use alot of nutes, Works very well in Hydro. I have tried it in Dirt and it's not the best. It grows like a totally different strain. If doing AK-48, I would definately recomend doing it in Hydro.

I really haven't grown any other strains that I like or that is easy to grow.

I have some S.African Durban x Sk#1 and it is the hardest plant ever to grow. I can't figure it out for the life of me. Out of 10 seeds I killed all of the plants but 1. I was able to get it to grow and I recently cloned from it. It did good in dirt but when I transplanted it to Hydro, it took a shit and never recovered.

Then, Lightstorm. Well it has a High Hermie and seedling death rate but it is a very good looking Hybrid. I am just now in the beginning of flowering but I really like the way the inner bud sites are forming so I'll let you know about it later.

Now for Smoking. I have tried a few. AK-48 (I currently grow), Thai-stick (or so they swore), bubbleberry (Don't know for sure, but that is what they called it), California orange Skunk, Blue Hawiian, and some shit all my buddies called Kentucky Pine. The only one I know 100% to be true is the AK-48.

My favorite buzz would be AK-48. My favorite taste would be Kentucky Pine, but I haven't smoked any of that in like 6 years. Not since I quit talking to a few buddies that still live in Ky. As for the others, well don't get me wrong they were all good smoke but nothing what I would consider now a good strain like I would imagine. All them I tried were before I got the knowledge I have now about the plant and various strains.

Now that I am getting good at growing I am starting to get into growing various strains so Hopefully in a matter of a few years I will have a pretty good list but as for now I am still a flunky when it comes to the various strains out there........

Yea mell that is why I said "that's what they called it." I smoked this back in the day before I knew shit about Marijuana. I remember it as being good but nothing like I would "NOW" expect it to be. If it were true, then I am sure it would be something I would never forget. It is a possibility that it was, but the grower didn't know how to grow good weed. That would be my guess now. lol.......

That is a breed that I would like to aquire someday. Along with CherryBombII, White Russion, and possibly some O' that "Dumpster" :eek:

the blackberry(black domina x blueberry) i have come across recently proved to be one of the best strains ive ever seen, grew short compact and very dense and the most trichomes i have ever seen, when the bud was dry it was literally white. i wish i had more clones of it, but i did make a little clone that grew 2 inches that has about 4 seeds crossed with a white russian male:D

First of to all the AK fans "Whaaaaat???" hmmmm it never impressed me at all, I find it to be nothing but hype and acctualy prety crappy. Sorry im not trying to piss anyone off just telling my story and ekspiriance with AK47, I have tryed it now many times from different growers and different breaders with same poor result. Great looking buds and healthy plants, but when you smoke it nothing really happens. I don't recall all the tiomes I have smoked it, but atleast 5 times I recall getting really desapointed. 3 times with friends who grew it and it really looked and smelled awsome and 2 times in amsterdam on a random Coffeshop, but nothing impressive at all 5 times.

dredank, how come your favorite grows and favorite smokes don't have even one overlap. I know you grow lots of varieties, but you don't have something that you are always growing cause it's easy or fun, and kicks your ass? You have a lot of stuff going now that I am interested in watching, like your strawberry cough cross and I think you have a black domina cross going. I am quite interested in both of those.

No more blackberrys going peak, all harvested about an Oz per plant, and almost all thats gone:D But the swt4 x strawberry cough is AMAZING, such a good sativa high, you face almost goes kinda numb after a couple big bowls, It is definitly one of my top 5 2thumbs
I like to keep a lot of variety, the next seeds im goin for is probably some malawi gold, thai, vietnamese or hawaiian:peace:
I am still looking for that "one strain"to keep in rotation, I tried to have WR but something was going wrong with all the clones I cut from the mother, I think it was too cold for the clones, but I figured it would be more worth it to just flower the beautiful mother and hope it comes out better than its clones

Well, my fave tends to change every few months. ;) but, at present, I'm finding the Ogre Kush to be #1 on my list of smoke, but definately a tad on the difficult side to produce/grow.
I suppose the green pheno "Bubba" kush is running a close second for schmokin', and a far and away more beautifull plant growing than og. Pretty easy to clone and overall, pretty easy to cultivate.
Third on my list is prolly an AK 47/bubbleberry plant that I managed to "Mother" for about 5 yrs. before losin her in a breeding frenzy foulup.
#4 is AK 47 (sorry Palindrome, but I've found it to be to my liking) and wouldn't it be a boring world if we all liked the same things :D
#5 would prolly be DJ's Blueberry. Been years since I seen the "real deal"

A 5-way tie, in the order in which I tried them:
-Acapulco Gold (would give you cottonmouth like you wouldn't believe. It produced a happy clear-headed high.)
-Columbian Gold (would make you forget where you were).
-Opiated Thai stick (two, two, two drugs in one! Addictive.)
-Original Humboldt (the first of the commercial N. Calif. bud to reach L.A., and the reason I moved up north).
-Kavorkian (3 hits and you forgot how to talk, 5 hits and you couldn't walk.)

2) Bubblelicious (Nirvana) germed 3 beans, all 3 were female, and one was a
"keeper"
3) Skunk #1 (Sam) I just like the big buds.
4) Fantasma (HellFire Seeds) Great grower, huge yield.
5) Durban Poison (African Seeds) A bitch to grow, but I guess I liked the challenge. Stretched like no tomorrow, and never really stopped growing. I have a love/hate relationship with her.

Checked in here a bit ago, and review today reveals that many folks have put blueberry on their top 5 lists. It is my understanding that the original blueberry comes from DJ Shorts. Well, I am actually here to put in a vote for another of his strains, grape krush. Grew it twice, very forgiving with lots of variety in the plants, decent yield of real tight buds, great smoke, tastes great, more high than stoned, and would consider it in constant rotation once perpetual grow is established. And, well, smoking it now.

Well, I been growin' weeds since the very early '70s, and I was teamed up with some good fellas in N. Cali and we had some real deal Panama Red; it';s a VERY distictive strain, even just looking at it and I ain't seen any real PRed since about 8 years ago when I lost my clone mommy, and she was about an 8 year old clone herself; cops got her along with some other beauties, damnit!

I seen lots of peeps "claim" they have PRed, but I ain't seen any, I think it's prolly very close to extinct mebbe dunno 4sure, but I would know it if I saw it heh heh!

There's another "mock" Panama Red, that is more like a Mexi or a South American that grew in Panama, but the one I'm talking about was a panamanian jungle land race sativa and she was unreal potent! Seriously over the top, and many peeps would acyually throw up right after smoking her from intense spin-outs. Heavy hitter yikes!

SMoking that weed was just like smoking Honey Oil, I mean hit for hit as far as pure punch goes. You couldn't even THINK about smoking a whole doobie for two reasons, one because the doobie would get so caked with resin it would no longer stay lit after about 1/2 way, and two, you may as well step in front of a train LoL! Hahahahaha!

Well bro, I know where to look and who to see, and it's not that far away from me, but the only way is to go spend a week+ around there and look up some super old friends; they are the "off the grid" types, non internet, non phone kinda peeps heh heh ;)

When I moved here to Oregon, I passed through and saw some of my old buddies but didn't have time to weed-out my true old guerilla bros. If anyone still has a clone it would be one or more of them, that would be my first choice anyways, cuz we all had the same clones many moons ago. Cops got mine. They were likely not so unfortunate heh heh. :)

Agree totally, only ever smoked it once, scored an ounce (in the early seventies) and it was tripping tackle supreme. Never ever been so stoned on weed, and I have smoked some weed over the last 40 years dear friends.
