What would be the cheapest way to make a successfull greenhouse that is pretty durable? I am trying to grow outside thru the winter.
I am thinking just make a shed frame out of 2x4 beams and throw up some clear plastic for the walls and cieling? with a velcro sealing flap for the door. does this seem possible?
maybe something that looks like this

Dredank.
I've done greenhouse grows and we have a poly tunnel. I'd go for the one in the second link if I were to purchase one for ease of build.
Other home made set ups, include making the frames out of poly water pipe.
Look at this picture for what a home build should look like before adding the cover. Remember you need to incorporate a door and vent flaps. I'd pre-fabricate them and put em in place before the main covering. Then wrap the whole tunnel tight, and batten over the poly round the flaps and door. Then cut around and presto, a well fitted cover. He says..................

thanks burns, im down to build that tuff one though, its cheaper, much cheaper, but what i was wondering is. Is the plastic walls the same. the second states that it has 93%light penetration and the fist just says its "for quality" and such. but i cant tell if it is as good the second. its bigger and i want that. and the first also seems to be on a platform, i think this would be better for me since bugs are common in my yard and have been known to just migrate toward the weed.

Have a lok at this. http://www.greenhousestore.com/review/index2.php?item_id=2
The $688 discounted greenhouse you can get for $449 here..... http://www6.mailordercentral.com/igcusastore/prodinfo.asp?number=HG-EB&variation=&aitem=5&mitem=9
That ripstop cover I have on a round greenhouse. It's tough but not against a sharp implement. You couldn't fall through it and nor a child, but gardening tools if left on a shelf, will rub through it in no time. From experience!
I'll add pics as soon as.
