A long time since I have hosted a Gj so I think it's about time I did.

Well here is the low down.
Cab 3ftx2ft max growing hieght 4ft
H.P.S 400W
Inline duct extract fan in the top of cab
Inline fan in the bottom
The ex fan is controled by a thermostat and a humidistat with the thermo having priority.

Feed Canna range

Plant's 3 x Aurora indica's grown from seed in coco soil
The babe's are about 2 week's old now and are growing very fast so time now for some pic's:smokin:

Here is a bit of history what occured germ 3 beans 1 died 2 survived out of the 2 both males so killed 1 kept 1 in the rear of my pic's,he wil be used for breeding given the current bean wars.
Now I put the cause of this high male instance down to the dreaded peat pots I used, what they tended to do was make the soil very acidic so the plants were week and never realy had a chance this also happend to my Fruitbowl grow I will never use those pot's again.
Germed 3 more beans and they are the seedlings you see now very healthy and strong "you live and you learn":(

Well another 2 days have past and the problems have started
plant 1 is a bit droopy from the deep watering I gave so I could check the run off water ph but she is recovering now.
plant 2 has developed a funny leaf structure it may be genetic but I will keep an eye on how things are going.
plant 3 is the tallest at 7" (the other two are 6") and is doing fine no probs.:)

Well had a bit of bother since my last post but I saw it coming, the coconut soil is bit like a blank canvas not much ferts in it, the only thing I did not know was just how much is in there, but now I know 0% and the plants paid for my knowledge they got worse!
I gave them a shot of organic ferts yesterday and now they have perked right up next time I will start weak solution of ferts early all in all everything is under control.
I will keep on using the coco and treat it like a soil less mix because its easy to add stuff to soil but very hard to take anything away like taking salt out of your bowl of soup.

well ladz,without hijacking this thread....the plants are seedlings...(just above soil) and i doubt 3 types of soil are all gonna be shit.....

soil ph is 6.9 and water from the tap is 7.0..they havent been voerwatered or under watered....

Well as I was concerned about the droopy plant I took her out of the pot to look at the roots,and:eek: root bound how come? only a week or so in that pot very fast root growth on this strain.
What I did next was to repot her in her final pot a few size's bigger.
The other 2 were repotted aswell they also were getting near to root boundness but not as bad it pays to look:mmmm:

I also managed to do that before mate but they dont do well puny and skiny and every strain is different.

Hey CB rootbound mate not thirsty check the last pic only a day or so in the new pot and the droop is going already,all the plants are doing much better since they upgraded to club class:D

P.S some of the yellow in the pics are from the hps the cab door was open sorry.

It has been a few days since my last post so here is an update.
Been giving the plants a week nutes everyday not much but now they have made a near full recovery pics in order pic 1 the worse yellowing pic2 much better pic3 the best looking and the one I think my turn out to be a him earlie days yet we will see:)

Well 3 days later and what do you know! the tallest of the plants at 19" not including pot is a girl:chick: if I laid a bet on her gender it would have been on a boy and my money would have gone down the drain.
Of the other 2 one is getting very bushy and one still a bit yellow and growing slow might take on pace a little later here are some pics:D

Funny gentics this Nirvana strain dif phenos the first plant is the runt still a little bit yellow and short the same number of brances though,the second plant my favourite is compact and stout but it looks to me it might be a male,there is pre- flower a small pod but no hair in a few days it will become more evident.
The last plant is tall very long internodal lengths at 3" plus very tall nearly twice the height of the smallest but def a female,I might top her to give the others a chance to play catch up all 3 are different it seems gentic.:mmmm:

Well been slacking a bit on the posting side so here is an update.
This strain has not be all plain sailing, out of 6 beans only got one female all the others are males the lady herself is very tall and keeps on stretching so I had to top her twice to see if she would bush out but no way, so I put the 3 cuttings she gave in water to see if they root.
The girl has been on the flower routine for the last 2 weeks but is just starting to push out more hairs this is the worst strain I have grown for years maybe the clones will do better. :mad:

Your sure right bro! the girl continues to stretch over 49" now so I had to restrain her with a little gentle bondage the only ganga I have grown that stretched like that was some Jamaican sativa the last 2 pics are it:cool:

Yea mate 36" when she went to bud and the strain should have been mostly indica not sativa so she should not realy stretch that much anyway just checked the clone from her top and its rooted will not pull out of the pot so maybe it will do better got 2 more clones in water but I might put them in dirt now:cool:

Here is the new line up all the clones are rooted now, funny thing is the babes that were rooted in water got the yellow leaves and the ones in soil stayed green I think I prefer the soil as its quicker and no yellow.
Final count is 5 Fruitbowl and 3 Aurora indica looks like I am in business:mmmm:

Thanx for the blessing mate 2days ago I put 10 beans from a Jamaican sativa that I have kept for 10 years or more to germ dont know if they are still active but we will see if not 10 more from a different Jam strain will be put between the wet towels it could all get very interesting as I have seeds older than 25 years hanging around real vintage ganga,a taste of the past gonna try and bring back some old flavours:cool:

Well a few days latter and the girl still is tending to stretch,but her stems are stiff and not easy to tie down.
As for budding that has got better what a slow plant to start flowering anyway given my shortcomings it looks like I will still get some bud:D

Well its been a week since I last posted a picture of this girl mainly because she is not my favourite girl, I have ignored her.

:share: cheers mate I kept the male in another room untill pollination,used a carbon firber stylus brush so only the buds I touched with it were shagged I also hit a few buds on the FB girl lets see how the cross will turn out:D

The time has come to do the upgrade on the cab it is going into overdrive.
The cab is 6sq ft and I now have a 600w digital ballast +600w hps ganga lamp thats a 100w per foot very bright I will need it for growing flowering out sativa plants, I still have my 250w universal ballast+lamps and the original400w universal ballast and laps as back up funny thing is the 600w lamp is cooler than the 400w dont why that is but iam not complaining:cool:

Right job done all installed and running corectly all to do now is monitor temps the extract fan is taking some time to cut in as the lamp is not so hot very bright in cab may have to wear shades:cool:

Would you believe it had this digital ballast for a while and one day it would not start so sent it back to canada cost me £135 return trip and customs put another £35 on top as vat I will fight that issue, but after only about 10 hours use its busted again so just emailed the makers to see what will happen next, so anyone thinking about buying one of those things beware they are not too reliable.
So its back to the 400w for now unitl I sort out another ballast:mad:

Well its been 3 months since I started this GJ and finaly cut the AI girl this morn not bad bud in that time,there are now 4 plants in the cab 1FB@5weeks flower,1AI just went in and 2 FB clones just entered the cab is quite full now but in the next 3weeks ro so the FB mom will be ready for harvest so there will be more room.
On the widow sill are 3xhazeskunk,2xFB clones and 2xAI clones after I finish those last 7 out I think I will give it a rest as I will have enough bud to last me for sometime only thing is I may just get bored:D
When I resume I intend to grow the top44 and some NL to see how they go,watch this space:watch:

I noticed you're using a cool tube, but you don't have any venting hooked up to it. This venting and hassle hassle is a reason i wouldn't want to use one. Question: How does the tube work alone? Did you build it yourself or buy one? It looks like the kind you see everywhere for around $100 or so.

Hey big G it does have a extract fan hooked up at one end and its very powerful it vents to the outside of the building over 50' in the sky,the oter end of the tube is open to the cab so it vents the stink as well.
Yea your right its a shop brought unit cost me £48 about $100 but worth every cent:)

Another quesiton about that cool tube. I like that it's extraction only. Does this cool the entire cab from the HPS or just directly around the bulb? This seems like a stupid quesiton, to me even. I know you said it's worth every cent, I just wanna know how and why. :cool:

Ok the air is pulled through the tube from the extraction end the end with the socket, the other end is open where it draws air and smells from the cab, so as the lamp produces heat the fan dumps it outside

Well put the buds in the mason jar tday total yield 40g way below what I normaly get,this maybe because I pollenated her got about 25 beans so far I expect that number to go upto 100 mark anyway the future is secure,lets see what her clone will produce no more seeding for a while:)

Well after 2weeks and a bit, not quiet sure when, the AI clone has stretched like a bean pole just like her mom she went into the cab @28" now she is 40":eek: oh well got the hieght in the cab to deal with her now:p

Done the rounds of sampling yesterday with my bros and friends the general comments about the burn was that it was very spicy with no after taste (maybe down to my under feeding) with a very hashy flavour as for strength I went fishing on it just right to keep busy very pleasant all arround:mmmm: when the smoke cures a bit it sould get better.
Here is a pick of the seeds so far I think there wil be more to come, not sorted them yet dont think the immature ones will grow so will bung em out.

P.S it smells of good black hash!

Well uped the anti this morning and installed a 600w sunbeam ballast and lamp I scored on ebay for cheap that should deal with the stretch got to watch for heat probs though:D

"what a difference a day makes" the stretchy girl seems to like the upgrade she is growing much much better than her mum did, and looks like more than 3 times the amount of bud forming hmmm here are some pics from this morn
As for the othe 2 clones on the sill they are begining to show the regular leaf patern and growing fast check the last 4 pics I think this strain is easier to grow from clone than from see:D

She is nearing the 6 week mark actualy 40 days and the buds are getting heavy she is swaying a bit now but not like the Blue velvet I grew which I had to stake to keep her up may end up having to do that again, now for the pics:cool:

Just a quick update,the buds on thie lady are now begining to fill out she has more than 3 times the bulk of her mum and if that equates with yield I should get near the 100g off her,the other thing is that the buds are much more dense and there are more of em,now I will eat humble pie! and admit my first statement about the strain, I was wrong its good if grown right,spose it takes time to learn about every single strain.

Well the buds are finaly dry and ready to cure total yield 71g wow they lost some weight but still a vast improvement over the last AI girl.
Not taken many pics of whats in the cab so thought I would post a few the ocupants are 1xAI ,1XFB just going into flower and 2xFB about ready for the chop,now where is that mason jar:D

The lady is about 5 weeks in now,not too sure cant remember when she went in but I would say about 5,anyways she is starting to fill out her buds a bit but she is not showing any of the purple colours her mum or sister showed dont know why not a clue maybe she will change latter on, now for a few pics:cool:

She is very tall m8 about 50" the flowering cab is tall and skiny I made it that way so I could grow some lanky danky sativas,hence my next grow will be Grimm bros C99 gonna make some beans too as good C99 beans are hard to come by it should be interesting:D

Well my tall lady is now starting to ingest her leaves and that seems to coincide with the purple colours as she is just starting to show those hues a bit latter than the others so maybe the colours are there all the while only masked by the deep green caused by the nitrogen anyways she will get only 1 more feed in a day or 2 and that should take her to completion.dont like the taste of "N":yikes:

Well after she is dried m8 I reckon between 75-110g but that all depends on the bud density which is really hard to judge.
Well the girl has done the dark thing she comes down today this is her last pic spot the lighter nestling in between the bottom branches to give you an idea of size she is really top heavy and has done me proud:D

Trimmed and put the girl in the brown paper bag to dry this evening I will report on the final yield when she is ready, man those buds were heavy and very sticky icky, cant get the resin off my fingers even with soap and hot water:D

Well final yield 86g not too bad also so far got 6 beans I did a selective pollination with a Hazeskunk male so now I will have another cross to try in the future, all good stuff:D

OK let me explain the bag I use is 18" wide and 30" tall made from brown paper heavy duty parcel wrap put the wet buds in the bag fold over the top a couple of times then put in front of the inlet fan in the flowering cab.after about 5-6 days they are normally ready for jarring and the cure, I open the bag every day and turn the buds in the bag, never had a batch go bad on me using this method, and I made the bag myself very little light can penetrate the bags as the paper is so thick but the buds can still breath:cool:

Thanx m8 as requested here is a report; well not really had a good cure yet but done a few samples this is definitely hash weed taste like very good black hash somewhat like Kashmiri with a spicy cum coconut undertones I expect this flavour to in crease with a longer cure.
As for high, halfway between cerebral and body buzz after a couple of tokes it hits you and deepens after a few minuets after the whole spliff takes about 1-1.5 hours to wear off, had 1 the other night before bed and had some wicked lucid dreams :electric:

This is the last of the AI girls, like a fool I put her in poor recycled soil, should have mixed in a bit of blood fish n bone but still I reckon there is a bout an once of bud on her gonna leave her a few more days before the chop well we cant get everything right:halol:

p.s not much trimming to do here.
