Never topped before and I would like to top one of my mangos. I got a pretty good idea of what and where to do it but I thought I would just ask some for info first. Any info much appreciated, if ya need a different or new picture let me know.

Alright, nice I went ahead and went for it and it should be fine. Im only topping to slow the vertical growth, other than that its just a learning experience.

I'll post a few follow up pics in the journal

wonky, you should also try supercropping or neckbreaking.
that slows the vertical growth with out cutting off the main grow tip.
just rubb stem between thumb and fore finger til the top of the plant kinda falls over. while the plant tries to right its top the rest of the plant keeps growing
good luck keep us posted on how it goes

Thats a good idea, thank ya much majesty.
I will get some shots of my progress on this mango after some days but the topping 2 days in is going well... so far, I'll find a neck or two too break in a couple days.

i gotta say we are mean to our plants....we tie em down, break there necks and chop off there heads....no wonder they are gettin more potent...they are angry at us :p
