(ooops my bad an old one-dawg)

A California man is in custody this morning in Crawford County after Indiana State Police stopped him for a traffic violation and found more than $200,000 worth of marijuana packed in his car, according to a news release.

Christopher James Donegan, 37, of Grass Valley, Calif., is facing preliminary charges of possession of marijuana over 10 pounds and dealing marijuana over 10 pounds.

According to the news release, an Indiana State Police trooper from the Jasper post pulled Donegan over late Wednesday morning for speeding and unsafe lane movement near the 89 mile marker on Interstate 64.

Donegan reportedly became nervous during discussions with the trooper and could not answer questions posed to him, the release said.

That prompted a walk-around of the vehicle with a drug-sniffing K-9, who alerted authorities to the presence of narcotics.

Troopers then found suitcases packed with marijuana totaling 33 pounds in all.

The street value is estimated at $210,000.

Donegan was taken to the Crawford County Jail.
