well, due to terrible luck and necessity, we are going to be doing our first summer grow. we have two cheese and one o g kush clones that we will be using.

we had a four foot, four bulb t five light that had veg bulbs, but we bought the flower spectrum ones yesterday. we had every intention of putting them in for their two days worth of darkness yesterday, but, in true fashion things ran afoul.

on the day of the solstice, with the temperature at one hundred and seven, the air conditioner in the room we grow in died. so the plants had to be taken out into the living room over night, and we will proceed to set them up later on this evening.

luckily the room we grow in is a very small one and only requires the smallest of air conditioner units. it's in, and the room is nice and cool again. I can only hope that was all the bad luck we will be encountering.

I know that the plants will need to be trained as soon as they begin to stretch. if anyone has any experience with blooming with t fives, for Gods sake, feel free to throw anything you might know in my direction. forewarned is forearmed.

we were hoping to find some clones that were as close to straight indica for this, but that just isn't going to happen. pictures to follow as they come along.

Isn't that the way when all seems simple
Kudos on not flapping and getting things turned around though :gthumb:

What do you need to know on red/flowering T5's?

well, we aren't sure as to how depth effective the lights are. we know it's not an h p s, but don't have a semi definitive answer as to actual light penetration depth.

luckily we are very good at plant bondage due to experiencing dramatic stretching several times. we know you can really lay them out if you are careful.

thanks dude. that's the kind of information I need. and just so you know, there is no information too little or too big. if there is anything you know, we probably don't.

such as, a four foot light does not fit in a four foot cabinet. the outside dimension is four feet, the inside is not. the light is at a pretty good angle. something that will need to be taken into consideration when we put the plants in tomorrow.

well, we changed out the veg lights for the bloom lights, and in keeping with our luck, they are veg lights. blue as blue can be. except for one which does have an orange tint, but it's either been used or is a dud as it just kind of glows without putting out any real light.

and for some reason which I do not understand, the two grow shops around here are closed on sundays.
