My clones have hey are in a dome under 120 watts floro, sprayed about once daily, fed 6.0 pH water when cube is dry, and I put them in soil as soon as i see roots like this pic, what could be the problem and someleaves seem to be curling inwards, should the light be higher?

man mine do that all the time too i know some yellowing is expected when the roots start to form, but mine get worse than that.i wish i would have saved some pix from the old world before i deleted all my attachments.Im trying to get a perpetual rolling here but i havent got it yet, anyways there will be another round of clonning in a few weeks.

your lights fine where it is bro;) you say ya rooting them in rockwool and then when rooted ya putting them into soil?if so,whats the purpose of this?
if your going to be growing in soil then you will be better off rooting in soil to;) was the cutting healthy to start off with?
i like to spray my clones at least 3 times aday but hay ..you got roots:)
what soil are they in?could be to strong for little ones?
how long have they been rooting also
get back to me bro and we'll see if we can narrow it down abit;) could be a number of things ya see.
all the best

rockwool can be a bitch at times to root from what i understand.try rooting ya clones in soil mid then when rooted wash off all the soil and wack um in ya hydro shit;) i call this the cheap method as this is what cheapo dose.
give it a try like;) when rooting in rockwool theres no nutes at all in it.there is in soil so this could be the prob.clones will feed from word go;)

I put them in miricle gro soil, and the cuttings were really healthy to start out with, they have been rooting for about 2 maybe 3 weeks, and at one point i stopped spraying them cause i read i that not spraying them would force them to root faster, and i think that messed them up some. But im back to spraying and about once a day. how would i root them in soil?

you mean you dip the cutting in whatever you rooting hormone use, (i use dip n gro) then you put in a cup fo soil? could i use miricle grow soil, its all i got right now, except soil from the backyard, but it mostly clay and the topsoil doesnt look to good, im trying to get a hold of "allmix" soon hopefully.
But whats the yellowing on the leaves for, pH was too high? i used tap water, dilution of hormone was wrong? i did it to 10x? bottom of dome too cold? its on a piece of plywood on the floor so i dont think that tooo cold? should i give them some ferts?

try adding a tiny and i mean tiny amount of veg nutes to one of them, high in nitro like.see if they perl up.if soo then do the rest.mg soil is shit full stop.and all mix is to strong for seedlings or clones...light mix is the stuff ya want for little ones.

funny I use rock wool for the exact opposite reasons .. with bout 98% poistive rate in 2005. I use rock wool to be in control, moisture and cleanleness are the keys to sucessful clonning. in the uncyber world here amungst livin aand breathin stoners I have a nickname.. "Dr Clone". nutes are not necessary IMHO the prenuted soil is time released and should do fine as you hydrate, start nutes in a couple weeks.
On the rock wool vs straight soil idears.... I think you will find advocates of both here. What both soil and wool cloners will tell you, moisture control is the issue. if they don't slime off in the first few daze chances are the clone will take. Use your "P" tool, clonning is a slow process. Once yoou have root nodules it is a plant and therefore a weed, they then are very sturdy and almost any growing technique will work. I think all agree the yellowing means they need food.
Also i never leave my clones un buried for more than 14 daze.. at 14 they need food and into the ground they go... rooted or not
[quote=dredank water when cube is dry[/quote]
the cubes should stay moist not wet the entire time , when you dried them you lost a closed system and allowed other variables to come into play
at this point those little gals are hungry but be gentle they are also stressed .. stay away from mg right now.. a little and I mean a little N will green ya up

thanks alot mel and cranky, cleared some things up, i will try feedin them very very little N.
another question do you guys trim the fan leaves when you take the cuttings, not all the way off, but just the tips to promote root growth insted of photosynthesis, or is it better to leave the leaves alone?
leave no more than 2 fans on a clone....at this stage one wants roots not fans
clone will feed off these 2 as needed to start new life:D

i here yas...ive tried this myself as an old head mate of growing the herb told me the cutting got more air this way...i found it didnt make a diff;) so i dont trim the ends of leaves.
