I've got Jake's classic 20-20-20 and Bud & Bloom 10-52-8 for my grow. Are these good for it? Should I get anything else in addition to these? :hmmmm:

Jakes classic or Jacks classic? I believe Jacks Classic is the original formulation for Peters all purpose fertilizer. Its basically the same stuff, different name.

Is good, I've used peters before.

Those are good nutes on their own for starters man. When you start trying to dial the plants in better, it may be necessary to boost Ca levels in flower and Mg in veg.

Thanks Shadows, my grow hasn't even had any yet as it's only a few weeks old and still on the soil nutes. However I will be feeding this to them soon at half level. Any idea for the Mg and Ca supplies? Mostly I find are these combo nutes (miracle grow) nothing straight up one or to items. I have not been able to find any fox farms here either. I've read hear it's pretty good.

For Mg I used epsom salts 1tsp per gallon

For Ca, I used to could find a product to prevent tomato blossom end rot. The ingredients were CaCl. 3-5ml per gallon depending on plant health

Ca I mixed in with my feedings. Mix the blue powder and water, then add the Ca.

Mg was used only on days that I watered with plain water.

I also stopped using Peters products for Better Gro Orchid nutrients. The lack of urea appealed to me and flushing was much easier at the end of flower.
I did have to use it more often, pretty much every feeding for best results, but it never let me down.

Fox Farms products you'll probably only find online or in a hydro shop. Lowes and HD dont carry it. But, Miracle Grow Organic mix is pretty good, and blood and bone meal can be found at Lowes, HD or even walmart. Alaskan fish ferts are also easy to find.

Cool Shadows, I'll have to look around for those. I have seen the orchid food. Never made the connection though. I've seen Miracle Grow Organic and also the blood and bone meal around on my trips to the gardening/grow house stores as well. I'm gonna pic up some Epsom salts at a local drugstore as well. Thanks for all the tips. :D

Shadows I have started them on the Epsom salt in the regular water and have picked up the orchid nutes as well. The plants seem to perk up a bit with the Mg. I did fine a tomato food but wasn't sure if it was what you where talking about so I left it.

Sounds good man. Lemme know if I can help ya any. That orchid food, for what it cost, is one of the best fertilizers you can get at lowes or HD, IMO.

Read up on orchids and how they feed, and you'll know why I say that...

They do like about the same levels for veg and flower ;). They almost have enough Mg, can almost get by without it, but Ca its lacking and when you boost the Ca you have to boost the Mg to compensate.

Good luck man

The Cal-Mag Plus sounds good. I've ordered the quart to give it a try. :D I've got tomatoes in the yard along with cantaloupe and pumpkins that might enjoy some along with the MJ too. Thanks CB. :D

can be used in both if need be bro, just depends on your feed like and what the plant calls for. but usually in flower is when I use it :)

If you don't have a hydro store nearby, most aquarium shops have calcium and magnesium supplements, in soluble form.

I used that orchid food last year for my outdoor grow, :gthumb:
