In the old days when traveling by ship was the main transportation, the ships would have resident rats. They would travel round the world on the ships, doing what rats do best, spreading disease and ruining cargo. It was given to have rats on the ship many even had resident cats* to deal with the problem.
If a ship was dammaged beyond repair, or leaking badly, or caught on the rocks, the rats were able to tell from the leaking on the inside of the hull, they had inside information;). When the ship was at dock or stuck on rocks scuttling (is that a word?) the rats would crawl across the mooring lines to the dock or swim to shore leaving the ship to sink, saving their own putrid little lives. Usually they find another ship to do their rat thing too.
Bushy's former press secretary is just such a creature IMO. Smart little rat too, prob make millions off his book . I know I am tempted to buy it.
So here's the point... the rat has left the ship ... it is scuttled on the rocks and sinking.. an still the this new press secretary (where did they get her? what a putz she is) says oh no nothings wrong, we have 80 feet of water line.
YEAH! WELL THE RATS ARE LEAVING THE SHIP !
wonder which rat will be next
Mel predicts it'll be Condy:rolleyes:
* the Manx cat was a favorite, it is has no tail, so it did not get caught up in the riggings, or stepped on buy busy sailors and passengers. ( we have a Manx .. very cool cat)
