hey all, i'm new to the compost teas and curious about the feeding schedule with them... i've been reading REv's living organics compost tea recipes but haven't seen anything regarding scheduling.

is it safe to use them feed, water, feed, etc.?

thanks in advance!

Kinda depends on the strength of your soilmix and the needs of the plants. In a weak mix with a hungry sativa, you could feed every watering, or in a heavily amended mix, once a month is plenty.

Try something like every 3rd watering and see how it goes...

Good luck

Hey Icarus. You got good advice. I find that the teas work very quickly, and within a day or two you can usually see if it made the plants happy or otherwise. It should be somewhat self-explanatory regarding how often they need to be fed. Don't be afraid to be aggressive, but use patience.

thanks gorilla! i am familiar with the ladies and their needs when it comes to synthetics, but like many others, i have the fear about going organic :p sounds pretty oxymoronic to actually say that... i've been really excited about the idea of using compost teas for quite some time and am finally ready to give it a go! this is gonna be awesome!

another question...

in a compost tea made with earthworm castings, bat guano, fish ferts, kelp, etc, is it wasting resources to add things like AN piranha, tarantula or voodoo juice? i have some sitting around, but am happy to hang onto them if they're not going to make a difference. i know that the tea will already be booming with live bacteria and fungus... i wish i had the space right now to just experiment, as that's my preference, but.... what can ya do?

thanks in advance!
