I have looked forward to this night for months....

Tonight is the Rush concert. :D I can't wait.

BUT!!! The weather reports don't sound good. :( And the concert is at an outdoor venue. The last few weeks there have been tornadoes in North Texas. It's rained off and on several times today already.

I got us some yellow disposable panchos just in case. But they won't do much to protect us from hail or tornadoes. Please hope for good weather tonight in Dallas. :)

Oh, and so much for wearing my cute white top. I really shouldn't wear it if there might be rain. Booooo. I bought it especially for tonight. Hell, I should probably not even worry about getting all prettied up. Nothing like raccoon eyes from runny mascara. :p

But come hell or high water, I am NOT missing Rush. Haven't seen them in over a decade. ;)

I completely agree about Neil Peart!!! ;) Here's a UTube vid I just dug up.

They are my fav. band. I am so excited. But I don't know any of their stuff after about 1995. :p

Perhaps if I am stoned enough I'll completely forget about any bad weather, haha.

you know, and I know this to be a cold stone fact dude. if you want to do something, do it. I don't mean doing nothing dumb or anything dude. but if you want to wear your white shirt, fucking do it dude. if you want to get prettied up, get prettied up.

take a couple of paper towels to wipe your mug if it rains.

if you want to do it, kick it and do it dude!

no regrets dude. and yeah, rush rocks.

eh.

The sun is shining...and I just got all prettied up. ;)

I think the idea of bringing paper towels sounds good.

But I think I'll wear my tight red top instead....just in case. :D

put joints in cigarette pack?

i usually gotta hide 'em to get them in tho, if they check cigarette packs. will wrap a joint in cellophane from a cigarette pack, loosely. hide it in my shoe along the outer side of my foot. it's usually fine if i take it out before i start dancing. hehehe

A cig pack sounds good in theory. But I don't smoke cigs. ;)

I just put 2 joints in a baggy and stuck it in my bra. Worked like a charm. :D

The concert was AWESOME, and the weather couldn't have been better. Rush didn't have an opening band and played for us from 7:30-11. But damn, sooooo many kids. :o We had a father/teen son in front of us, and a family behind us- mom, dad, teen daughter and tween son. There was no fuckin way I was gonna spark up a joint. So several times I hiked up the big hill out in the grass and made new friends. :pass: I was up there when my fav song came on. I high-tailed it back to my reserved seat for that one..lol. I think my only complaint was that they played too much stuff I didn't know, which is my own fault for not buying any cd's past 1993. :p Even without knowing the songs, each one was awe-inspiring and the lasers and pyrotechnics was hypnotizing. :) The accoustics was perfect. The band said, "we are no spring chickens and have to take a break now. Join us for our next set in a bit". :rotf:

They rocked the house!!!!

Oh, and one other complaint. Beer prices were ridiculous! $8 for 12 oz, $16 for 24 oz, and the froz margarita thingy I had was like $14. DAMN!!!!! Sure was hard forking over that dollar for a tip. :p

Anyways, if you get the opportunity to go see Rush for their Snakes and Arrows tour, do it. You won't be disappointed. :D

cool thing bout musicians... not pop stars (different animal Paul Mc & Prince are the only ones I can think of that pull of both)

cool thing about musicians is they get better as they age.. only thing is they need some potty breaks as well as pot breaks

hey man kids are cool at concerts, brought my son to a Keller Williams / Rat Dog review concert we had a ball and I stayed straight. My buzz was watching my son dig "that cool guy" (Keller)

edit:

Elvis pulled it off too

mac- you know I'm a chick, right? ;) :p

This weekend as been awesome for me, it's like I am a teenager again. Tonight my friend is throwing her hubby a surprise 40th bday party complete with a band and a few kegs of beer. I already have dibs on the guest bedroom. :D

Reminds me of that little poem I heard in the 9th grade:

Party hearty, rock n roll. Drink a 5th and smoke a bowl. (or 2 or 3, lol)
