i was just wondering about how much bat and seabird guano i should add to 5 gallons of water to make some tea

here are the ratios
mexican bat guano 10-2 -1

peruvian seabird guano 10-10-2

go lite and dilute the tea after it's brewed

i brew 3 gallon teas, unless you have a whole bunch of plants you almost surely wont need 5 gallons.

i use 1/3 cup guano of choice, handful castings, some molasses and/or dried malt extract (about 3 tablespoons). brew with pantyhose and lots of air for 1-4 days (depends when you need it) dilute as neccessary but start low, all plants are different but most of my skunk based plants take more food and my mandala plants all eat VERY lightly with tea

start with like a cup or 2 per gallon and move up...seriously go light

thanks for the info i can use all i can get this is my first go trying all organic
im usualy a hydro man but currently i have 1 AMBROSIA in hydro and 1 in organic soil the one in soil is about 3-weeks behind the hydro plant and already has more trichs than the hydro and is just a happier looking plant so i think i'll put the hydro systems away when the plants that are in them are finished for a couple grows anyway and give all organics a shot

I mix in about 1tsp/gl for tea's
if you have 4 items to go in, split it to 1/4 tsp

you should be brewing/bubbling it with 50% of the water needed and add the rest before use

oh yeah and in middle/late flower try to mix your tea bag a week before and let it sit in a humid area to mold, and brew the tea with the moldy tea bag :D

Yea the molasses! don't use guano me self all the bats round here are protected; there are a lot of em if you know where to go ; but I use blood fish n bone, seaweed extract, Epsom salts and molasses mixed in; the thing with the molasses is it ferments and creates alcohol which tends to pickle the soil and all the beneficial microbes with in so its most wise to dilute well before use, mind you a little disinfectant could be handy:D

fermentation takes place in anaerobic mediums - you will not get any fermentation from a well aerated tea

Ok the alchemy thwarts me sometimes:D its all a little bit imprecise :ie how much air flow and volume would I need to dissipated the alcohol that is produced from the by products of a mixture of x constituents @ a given temp would be dependent on a lot of variables, hard to quantify in the home; not in a lab, in the home it would be hard to calculate and define the end results unless you test with a hydrometer after taking everything out but the water and alcohol better just to dilute the elixir well.:2cents:

wouldn't it evaporate off while bubbling IF you were to get any?
I use whiskey/beer in my teas at times

With out testing don't know how much of the alcohol would dissipated as its produced all the time; as as long as there is yeast and starch or sugars, it stops when there is no more food to consume or the acidity kills the yeast as for the bubbling it would consist mostly of co2 and o2 maybe using a wide mouth bucket is better than a narrow necked bottle.by all accounts I at least test PH every time before I use as with organic feeds the PH changes by the hour and if wrong would burn the shyte out of the poor babes.
Thats why I referred to it as alchemy.

I wouldn't worry about the alcohol in your teas

you wont have any
the tea EATS yeast and sugars and everything in it
I've had tea brewing for 5 months with NEVER smelling of alc
