What is the strongest strain you have tried / heard of ?

Hey all,

I was looking online a while ago, and got to thinking 'what is the highest thc content available in any strain'

I was looking around, and it looks like Greenhouse seed co. - Hawaiian Snow is the highest thc content that I could find in a strain. This strain has 23.7% thc. Thats crazy!

does anyone know of any strains that are stronger? Haha, I want to try some at some point.

no clue here myself.... haven't checked out seeds online in many years but even then i didn't bother to look because don't they show proof of it like.... just toss a number at you:)

I do like the white pheno's tho as well as those related to it :D

i also just seen a side by side with 5 different brands of nutes and all the same strain clones from 1 mother so 5 of the same clones each recieving a different type of nutrients and the THC fluctuated alot from 19% all the way down to 9%
so if the seedbank claims 21% thc it means under optimal condition it could reach those levels

what lab did you send your sample to? or do they have home test kit's now, or did you do the weight in weight out on kiff/hash

I think White Widow is about the strongest I've tried. Willie Nelson was also very strong, and SnowWhite(haze) is a close runner-up. :erm:

Well, the Hawaiian snow is from Greenhouse seed Co. in The Netherlands. From all of my looking online before, they seem to be pretty badass.

Once I've grown a bit and get some better equipment, I think I will definitely invest and get some. 23.7% THC sounds rediculous! I'm in! LOL

Don't know about thc levels . but for me there is one that gets me every time

edit: I have friend who grows both Blueberry and Romulan, he says Romulan is even stronger dunno he lives on another coast and I have yet totry this alien wonder

I almost bought a pack of the willie nelson...might this summer. Seen a lot of peeps say they loved it.
As far as highest content. I just smoke what I grow...If I like the high I run with it, if I don't away it goes. Potency isn't everything to me, type of high is more important. Don't like noid weed myself.

I hear ya. I'm sure what i've got now will be good enough, I just decided once (while I was blazed) that I wanted to try the best of the best, I guess I related that to the higher THC concentration. Either way when I gain more experience, I will definitely try the Hawaiian Snow, and the willie nelson sounds good too

here's how it really goes with most weed from my experience (unless it's exceptionally swag)

- percentages of thc are useless, and deceiving (most cannabis cup "winners" will disappoint you)

- healthy throughout entire grow, harvested correctly (let em go a little amber:) ) and dried slowly = potent, munchie inducing, red eyes

- sick plant throughout life = weak and useless

-healthy plant but harvested early = might get buzz but goes quickly and unsatisfying

-healthy plant but dried incorrectly = grassy taste, burns too hot, inferior product

never harvested a plant too late :D so i cant comment on that hehe..


keep em healthy, harvest them later rather than sooner, dry them as slow as possible without mold.

good for you ! harvest in the "window " 63-70 days (just a guidline, Durban poisin is 100days and Blueberry is 56)

go too long.... perhaps one of the worst mistakes that can be made IMO

there is a point of dimishing returns :eek:and the MJ actually starts to loose it potency. Kinda like maple leaves in the fall, get em when they are brilliant red orange and yellow, wait intil they start to brown and they are dust. The point begins a steep slope of diminish, when they pass it it can be just daze before months of hard work turn to brownish dust .. trust me on this one:mad:

Thanks for your reply. I got some useful info out of it.

Do you mind explaining your opinion on how THC percentages are useless? I understand that there are many variables, although I fail to see how an accurate test of the thc concentration is rendered completely useless.

Also, how are the Cannabis Cup Winners disappointing? I mean, I can understand that it's based on people who are stoned giving their opinion, but there must be some merit to it being crowned the winner. I bought the 2007 CC winning sativa, and the winning indica.. so I guess i'll be my own judge.

I just hope that my plants grow healthy. So far they look good and healthy.

well - without getting into how seed companies are crooked - what is that percentage based on? percentage of what???? plant matter? because if it is percentage of plant matter there is just no possible way for a plant to be made up of 20%-or even 5% THC. if it is the percentage of THC contained within the trichromes it still doesnt matter, as growing conditions and genetics will determine how many trichromes will be on it.

i read bout pot alot but have never seen an explanation for these percentages.

tis a ploy for money, just like the cannabis cup. i have grown hog its a winner - im not so impressed. also POG is a 2nd place winner (i think) and its not what i would consider cc winner. its good but if it ranked 2nd in all the pot that is at the contest.....somethin aint right

also phenotypes vary greatly in most strains, and slightly in all strains.

lots of reasons why percentages are useless - but it's mostly because you cannot trust seed companies. of course they are going to tell you their weed is so awesome and will get you so stoned and has oh so much THC......

remember THC is not the only chemical we want here. if that were the case all weed would be the same in buzz...but we know that all weed is different. its cause of the cannabinoid ratio within.

Effects will vary as much as we do, hightype is much more important to me.

To answer the question though, for me the strongest is a pheno of white widow I have nicknamed 'fuel'. I don't grow it though, way too narcotic and harsh for me, instead I cross it with types I prefer.
