Here in the Uk the government are telling us, and regardless of the expert medical advice being released to the contrary, that cannabis, in any form, is dangerous.

They give no proviso's. There are no "circumstances" in which its proven to be dangerous. It just is!

Yet in the same breath we see doctors from around the globe, some of whom have been practising for many many decades, releasing information which tells of the benefits of using marijuana.

Who's telling the truth and who's lying? I know where my money is.

Dr Phil Leveque from Oregon in the US explains "Cardiac Arrhythmias and Marijuana"

Phillip Leveque has spent his life as a Combat Infantryman, Physician, Toxicologist and Pharmacologist.
(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Anybody who knows anything about marijuana knows that it causes blood vessel dilation followed by a drop in blood pressure and reflex tachycardia. This is not what I’m writing about.

I have seen and performed physical exams on at least 4,000 marijuana patients. I have also reviewed the physical exams performed by competent Nurse practitioners and Physicians Assistants.

In no case did we ever find a cardiac arrhythmia such Auricular flutter or fibrillation and no ventricular arrhythmias except for slight tachycardia mentioned above.

I was a Professor of Pharmacology and Physiology for about 25 years and I wrote my Ph.D. thesis on Auricular fibrillation. In fact, I developed several experimental means for the physiologic production of Auricular fibrillation which I used to test antifibrillatory drugs. The most recent drug was Bretylium, which can be accessed on GOOGLE as "Bretylium Leveque", which also displays several of my research articles about Auricular fibrillation.

I performed no less than 500 procedures developing the experimental model and I was able to produce fibrillation at least 80 percent of the time.

After I published the article on Bretylium, it looks as if about a dozen research pharmacologists jumped on it and tried to patent the concept. Whether anyone was able to do this I do not know but Bretylium was one of the Cardiac arrhythmia drugs recommended by the American Heart Association in the manuals.

I am writing this explanatory information to let the reader know that I know what Auricular fibrillation is.

I probably used up 10 thousand feet of EKG paper during my studies. I found also that I, or my assistants, could produce fibrillation not only in dogs, but also rats, goats and one baboon. Bretylium also works in humans for both auricular and ventricular arrhythmias.

I am no longer surprised when someone finds a new medical use for cannabis / marijuana.

When the treatable lists for marijuana came out from California and the Oregon Dept of Human Services, I scoffed and thought “snake oil”. It appears that of the medical conditions many have a relationship to nerve tissue. Certainly the Purkinge fibers of the conducting system of the heart qualify as semi-nerve tissue.

I’m just waiting to read emails of others who may have seen similar results with their patients.

Start writing folks.

Yes but that is why it is the perfect med for Congestive Heart Failure, The lowering of the BP and the Blood Vessel Dialation takes the work load off the heart. I have been a survivor of CHF with Left Ventricular Hytrophy and myopathy (flabby heart muscle). Once I took up to 12 pills a day. My BP soared at 220 /95 my Ejectoin Fraction was 17% . With guidance of a cardiologist I take no pills at all today; my BP is 95/65, EF 53%, no hytrophy or myopathy, apparent on my last chest x-ray. I take no pills and use MJ as my cardio med. it increases BVP and lowers BP. A shift to a much healthier diet is also part of my presciription free "prescription".

There are all kinds of natural cures to stuff that the pharmasutical co. just do not want us to know about. My MJ therapy was suggested by a very lettered cardiologist. He suggested it when I fessed up about my MJ habit, thinking some how MJ was the cause of my heart problems. He chuckled and said that it was prob I was alive, 15% EF is death and the MJ prob kept the dilation up enough to allow the critical 2% to push through and keep me alive. Then we talked about MJ and my usage real straight up no bull shitting. Then he said "Mr Mel I been wanting to try this for awhile... how much MJ is available to you ?...."

The results are above no pharmas at all and those numbers pretty keen eh?..

o k, I got like half to a quarter of what was being said. technical jargon really throws me. its always unexpected.

but what I hear is that medical marijuana helps with heart issues. that could only be a good thing.

does anyone know if this is specific to indicas or sativas? if it's sativas, they sure wouldn't be for me.

excellent job with the low blood pressure man. I find garlic oil pills help a lot as well. unless you get one of those nasty burps. I still take them anyway.

You got it .. when MJ threapy is applied, my tubes get bigger, my muscles work less; blood flows more freely throughout the body

Garlic is a huge part of my diet:D.. in all forms ..although raw is tough, but olive prducts are also apart of my diet. The raw garlic is much easier when stuffed up a big california green olive:eek: then followed by a big bonger of some fine kind... hmm think I'l go try that right now;)

Due to my thyroid loss and my axiety Medications I take, my heart always flips out some..illregular heart beats,
If I smoke it slows this down and Its much more relaxing then just having to "deal-live with it"..Its not fun feeling and not to smoke.. it cant be quite scary..but when i smoke its more of a calming effect and i dont notice it as much..(or in a stoner moment= whoa that was cool) or not high (wow that was scary)
what moment would you like to have if its something u have to have to live or to calm down some..? Its a choice live or die. One has to have thyroid levels or you die . some have to have axiety pills to deal with issues .. But I get depressed when i dont have weed..Its been a daily fixture in my life for 34 yrs now. So I think weed helps me bigtime or anyone ..in my medicated world and my heart.
