Well been on the growing forums since dial up networking @ least 10 years now; and never felt really safe, only got a feeling of safety in the assurance that I was small in the scale of things (only grow for my consumption) but now its all changed and hear how.

Got a 4g usb memory stick off eBay for £6.50(cheap)
Downloaded puppy Linux free and installed on stick.
Encryptid stick and now will only use this method to connect to my favorite forums;from internet shop or random access point.
Also wipe everything of the computers @home.
A real urban guerrilla and I feel very safe.

ps. mailing from the twilight zone.:D

Just got done scrubbin an HD and puttin in a new HD. PITA....wish I could go linux (my work software has me bound to winblows and IE) might with my beater laptop tho....yep geek here kid n i got a desktop each i got a laptop and a beater dell laptop (she's my "special needs" comp :P )
lil P2....battery is shot, 4 gig HD, and a whopping 900sumthin MB mem which is a shocker for the age of the comp....1 gb was almost unheard of except by the major geek squad...got it from a liquidation sale. 1/2 the keys are missing, been dropped crushed and who knows what else....but she keeps on ticking.
might slap a copy of mandrake on her and use it as a surfin, internet radio comp hooked up to the tuner/surround sound....just worried about driver for it on linux. Sorry off on tangent been workin on em all day. ugh.....should be working and posting not formatting n chit.
Oh well Orpheus n I just caught a good buzz so all is good with the world.
Thanks reubeni for the good post on how to set up a secure forum comp. :greatjob:

How big of a flash drive you need for your version of linux? gotta link for the DL ? Never messed with bootable flash drives....will it still get drivers from the root HD even tho your booting from the flash? Or make sure you get the drivers prior to install? (you can tell I rarely use linux :( )

was the ticket to the zone one-way or round trip?

pulling yer leg but understand the point. i think my defense to a jury would be: do you want these wankers to spend your tax $ on tracking down my 5 plants?
