Time To Relax

well it's been a couple of 3 months since my last grow and i cant take it any longer.......

Its time to get my grow on :D

been head bunt'n with the Miss's about where my grow was to be in the new place :rolleyes:

grow room will be in the attic after all :p

this has been insulated and dry walled and is around 14x23 feet and a 7 foot ceiling... I'm only going to use part of that tho...

the windows will be blacked out as well as light proof door... got plenty of time for that tho as I'm gonna veg with those shop light ya see hang'n.....

I'm gonna board up one window with it left opened a bit and pipe my exhaust over to it via a Dayton 465

I use black and white Polly vinyl for walls and will do so also here....can move and adjust them pretty easy as needed

So on to the strains......picked out 6 this time and here's the run down on them

DSL... (3 seeds) this is from Canada, breeder buddy passed em along . stands for (dutch treat x purple skunk) X GWL

k2 x (bgxbb).. (3 seeds) this is some from some breading i have been doing it's k2x (bubblegum x blueberry)

IOW... (2 seeds) this comes from the Isle of Wight and was passed on to me to try..... seeds look a bit green to me but we shall see

pgxls (3 seeds) this came from a breeder buddy that passed them on for a trail run it's pot O gold x lightstorm... these seeds look a bit green to me as well....

gwl... this also comes out of Canada but cant remember the cross but it's great white lighten

wrxwr (11 seeds) started with 4 but just in case those green looking seeds don't pop i tossed 7 more in the unmarked squar's..... this is white Russian x white Russian, another one of my breeding projects

so 24 total, which just happens to be the lucky number for card holder's here ;)

seeds are on top of the monitor enjoy'n a bit of warmth

come along for the ride and relax and watch mother nature do her thing...(with a little help from fox farms)

never used a room this big so it will be a trail and err thing all the way I'm sure

Woot looks like you got a nice new room to grow in. I got my grow room back after some adjustments of the stuff being stored in there. I'm hooking up the lights atm. Tho my grow room isn't just for my home grown bud. :D

Looking good, thats a lot of plants.. wish I had a house of my own so that I could have a whole giant room dedicated to my hobby. :(

Seems like a lot of different breeds in one grow but if anyone can handle those rowdy seeds, you can. :laugh:

Well been about 48 hours now and 17 have been put in soil so far

here's the run down

k2 x (bgxbb) 1 in soil 1 show'n a tail and 1 no show

DSL all 3 in soil

wr x wr 5 in soil and 2 in these weird bark type spongy thingamajig i got about 1 1/2 years ago from my local hydro shop .... there for clone'n but hey they might work for seeds as well.... they come with a little hole in them....I just droped the seed in and tour a small peice off and kinda crumbled it in the hole on top of the seed :eek:

pg x ls 2 in soil and 1 show'n a tail

GWL 2 in soil and one show'n

IOW i small tail show'n and nothing from the other yet

poted plants are under 4 40 watt 4 foot shop lamps in the unfinished new grow room, got plenty of time to figure out just what i want but gotta get the floor done asap thats for sure

poted up 4 more wrxwr and one k2X(bgXbb) for a total of 22 in soil....seems i still have 3 seeds in germ tho....must have miss counted along the way.......

the rest are still in germ with a tail or to show'n

got a ton of K2 yet in cure so thought i best try a few of these other strains out before the seeds go bad.....I do have plans for a outdoor grow soon so will see what the big light in the sky can do to some K2....


so far 6 are above soil and it looks like 2 seeds probably wont germ

the IOW is try'n real hard and has a tail like 1/8 inch long

will see what they look like in a day or 2....

Well i did play around a bit today :rolleyes: I found a pretty small pot out in the barn :rolleyes:

my last grow i did with all small pots and grew 1 from start to finish in a 12 oz party cup just because i could :p

learned how to do this by watching shadows and cranky grow and reading there GJ's ....

well boy's I'm gonna do one in a super small pot this time.....start to finish same as last ;) this will be a new worlds record for sure :rolleyes:

it's above soil now and on it's way to stardom :D

This will be really cool to watch,Ive never seen a plant grow in that starter pot to finish.The 12 oz cup grew pretty tall and all so this will prove to be an adventure worth watching.

Hey hey, I've got some pots thats size, never ever considered growing with them though, I even opted not to use them with the cheap seed starter pack they came with.

My hats off to you cheapo, if you can grow upside down, you can grow in that little cup.
I expect she'll need a dripper line in another 2 weeks, lol.

MWB the solo cup did do OK indeed...think it was around 30 inches or so.... If this works then i have plans to market a super Minny stealth setup which will grow you 1 bowl full of home grown bud :rolleyes:

yo cheapo,been abit busy the last 2 weeks but things are coming together now so i will be about abit more;)

thats one small fekin pot...more like an egg cup :D ya will need to water that feker 4 to 5 times aday once she gets going;)

will be intresting indeed bro.....if anything it will prove that cannabis plants dont get root bound to the point that the plants start to fuck up....but just loose yeild and grow differently;)

so i had this big stoner moment on the real head count......seems one cup had no seed and no plant marker but i was counting it anyways and not only that i watered it twice :eek:

all of the poted plants are above soil weather they wanted to be or not and still one peatmossbark thingyamygig hasnt showed up......might help it as well

Hey CB..sorry I didn't get back to you on the 4" or better of uninterrupted taproot growth thing..between an unexpected extended guest thing and the domestic dementia it caused...a sportsmens show sunday..I have not had time to search it much...it goes back awhile and tonite before posting I was going to search og..but couldn't get in..???..the only thing I did find..w/o a bunch of reading was at hc...smokinrav made a statement...I have noticed that I get that I get more females when the taproot is allowed at least 4" of uninterrupted downward growth..or something to that effect...and then makes reference to a friend that has the same results..again, or something to that effect :rolleyes: ..I think it was the friends research that I wanted to find..I also think that Delta also backed the theory...anyway..you only have one planter that small going so might be interesting to see what it turns out to be..lol..if it is a female..maybe you will have an XX female, of feminised beans fame. :D

I had read that too somewhere at the beginning of my current grow when my seedlings were in 4" cups.

I transplanted them to 7" cups out of the possibility that it could be true. (I always used the 4" cups and have had a 50% male to female skew usually).

This time, out of eight plants, I have four females, two males and two still vegging. Could be 50% or could be more.

With statistics like that.... it leaves us right where we started. :laugh:

I've used the solo cups and had 4 for 4 ladies before, and as well used them to get 2 for 2 on males. All the same sized cups, same enviroment and blah blah.. I still think genetics are the biggest influence on sexual expression in a plant, and where as the enviroment may be able to alter it to some degree it cannot take away what nature has set forth.

But Im not trying to turn your GJ into an ongoing debate here cheapo, just got a hole in my pocket and dropping change..

LL yes i have flowered in the party cups before and know a few other's that do as well.....

i usally water the cup everyday as it dries fast.....

one thing i have found with these small planters is i get better results if i water from the top and feed from the bottom

I have to differ there mate white roots is a good healthy colour but if they were brown it would mean the dreaded rootrot,but a plant can still have white roots and be rootbound.

I'm at day 49 of flower, CB. I knew we were going to finish around the same time, didn't realize i started flowering just a day later.

Actually my plants are looking similar to yours, in size and shape anyhow. Being that they're pretty much the same age and all. I can see what i'm striving for though! :racer:

well been real busy here with spring hitting and what not

choped the micro plant today. like day 62-63 something like that....

plant went a bit over 90 days from seed in 1 tbls of soil :D

few more days before any more come down

put that plant in a 1/2 gallon pot and you'll get evan more weight.
no offence but i to have tried to grow in 20 oz cups and my plant are root bound after 3 weeks of veg and your only useing 12oz cups, and also i can see the roots that have died and turned brown in that pic. i tried an ice plant clone in three differant sixed pots 20oz cup 1/2 gallon pot = 6" inch square pot and a three gallon bucket all three were root bound at the end of flowering but the differances in yeild was the real differances the 20 oz cup yeilded 14 grams the half gallon pot weighted 27.2 grams and the 3 gallon bucket yeilded 138.4 grams which is 4.613 oz's and thats figured at 30 gram oz's all was weighed on digi scales.
not saying your lieing i beleave any plant can be dwarfed if keep in a very small pot evan tomato'es can still bear fruit if the plant is saported to hold the fruit. but those plants would of yeilded better if they were in a bigger pot, like 1/2 gallon would of close to doubled your yeild i to use the fox farm nutes to feed.but also along with benafical microbs and growth enhancers c02 silicate fossel fual super nova
and last what strain did you use and how much did they yeild in those smaller pots each plant just curious.

breakin they necks is like pinchin the stem of the plant around the top 4 nodes. i just pinch it so you feel the stem break and it will controll vertical growth for a bit while the secondarys catch up but it also improves the thickness and toughness of the stem. where you pinched it a fat knot will apear in a day or two;)

I break there stem between the 2nd and 3rd node from the top

I gently rub it between my thumb and finger untill the stem soft'n up and the top falls over :eek:

this will alow the secondarys to catch up

after a few days the top will right it self and all will be good;)

catch do one now for ya if ya want to see it in action

She was my tallest one, very tall and skinny. I didnt really break the stem, kinda just bended it enough so that her top falls over ;)

So, should I see a good bit of secondary growth while she straightens herself back up?

By the way she is really skinny, and bout 2 1/4 feet tall. Another one of my ladies is doing this, but not this bad. The other 3 are short and very bushy with thick stems, while these 2 have flimsy stems... :(

I tried it on one of the garden plants that was stretched and a bit taller than the rest. I broke that fuggers neck around 6:00 pm on the 20th and here's a pic of it today. It's already starting to stand back up!

GJ Drumin. They always come right back. I swear it takes a lot to kill these plants. If you don't really let it starve bigtime, or cut it off at the root; theres always a (good) chance they'll pop back on you.

Pot of Gold, I got some of those as a SD freebie a few years back. After some research I found the true name for those beans, Golden Skush. She has been a favority in my grow ever since. Lower smell then Sensi Star but still has the same great bud growth and flavor. The stone, for me is a 8.5 out of 10. Could be a little stronger initially, but a retoke after an hour sets a new ceiling for your high. up up up, then down... smooth landing with a fresh head. Very nice smoke!!

Looking damn good CB. Likin all the pot sizes too. 1 may say tho, that you have your hand in too many pots.. ok, lame joke out of the way.. lol..

Very nice CB. We grew some 3 foot plants in 4 inch by 6 inch pots before and they turned out great. It just goes to show that you don't need 1 gallon of dirt for every foot of plant. Great job mang.

bit over 3 weeks in flower now and starting to get frosty:)

plants hit around 5+ foot indoors and under 2k of hps :D

trimmed a lot of lower stuff off this time around just to see whats what

Been spending alot of time on the wrong garden and things got away from me a bit :)

did some much needed upkeep and cleaning. The long veg time really messed the grow up as the plants just got to tall for my room :o

buds are very heavy now and most have been tied up before they start breaking things :rolleyes:

also cut a lot more bottom pop corn stuff off as it wasnt getting any light do the jungle like conditions :o

lesson learned there.... for my room it's a max 4 weeks of veg with nice 3-4 footers in the end....

plants look a bit ruff with torn leafs and what not and a few cola's grow'n side ways :rolleyes:

few weeks to go on this lot and then gonna fire up with more new strains and a few old ones :D

I have shut the grow room down as I have maxed out my card limits :o

gonna start a new GJ soon and will be make'n a few changes along the way :D

plan is to start back up in 2-3 weeks with all new soils ferts and beans :)

gonna close this GJ and start on clean up in the grow room ;)
