Hiya,
I have 6 cuttings using Root riot cubes in a little propagator that are under a 250watt hps light, i've just put them in, could somebody please help me with how far the light should be away from the cuttings so as not to damage them?

Just turn your hand palm up & feel the heat on your wrists. If it's hot for your hand it's hot for the plants tips.

i just went to look at them, there about 6 hours old now, they've completely lost all structure and just flopped, i take it this is normal?

no this is not normal... 250 is alot of light to use for rooting clones IMO. I just use 1 cfl to root clones with in a dome with high RH and mist the clones 3-4 times a day...
any chance of a pic of your's and the setup?

Hers some pics, the other cuttings in the tray are 2-3 weeks old( not rooted through yet but not wilted ),
size of prop is 38x24x18cm, actual light bulb is 33inches away from the top of the prop, the reflector is 28inches away from the top of the prop.
Heat is at 79-80 and humidity is 80%.
Looks like you need to up the humidity. Put a dome over them and mist em with PH'd water.
I agree with CB, clones don't take much light.
they "should" be rooted after 2 weeks. (heard of some strains taking a month tho)

Dome is allready on, but i cant get the humidity meter to go above 80%, Just so i'm sure is possible you can tell me what ph my water needs tobe?
neutral is fine. (7.0)
80% r/h is good.
Whats your temps?
You using a rooting hormone?

inside the dome its about 26-28 and outside its about 22-24 degrees.
Yes i used a rooting hormone called Roota2 from B+Q.
to me they look pretty dry and need to be misted which will help raise the RH inside the dome...
i PH around 7 at all times with marijuana no matter what in soil and with clones...
hope they perk back up for you
