I'm thinking about getting 2 of these 3 bulb lights and filling them with the "narrow spectrum" bulbs. What do ya'll think of this deal:

Q: What is the color Temperature of narrow spectrum fluorescents?
A: Color temperature ratings don't Mean much with narrow spectrum fluorescents. They make more very deep red light than traditional low color temperature sources like HPS. While at the same time they actually make much more blue light than high color temperature sources like metal halide. What’s interesting is that the type of deep red light that is most nutritious for plants is barely perceptible by the human eye. So paradoxically, these bulbs look bluish to the eye even though they actually make more red light than blue.
?????????
Now thats a confusing statement. I get wary when they say that.
But for the price, I'd would mix up the spectrum and put a mix in there so the whole spectrum is covered.
"traditionally" 5000K or better yet 6500K for veg. 2800K for flower.
I always mix my spectrums up. example on that fixture. (2) 6500K and (1) 2800K for veg. vice versa for flower. But thats just me on that one.
But the narrow spectrum description doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me. Wish they would just put the temp and let the consumer decide whats best.
I kinda like to know my lights color temp :)
like Dawg I would mix it to get a full spectrum for both veg and flower like he said;)
i mix in veg then use eye hortilux in flower to get a bit of the blue back with one bulb....to me my plants seem alot happier with a full spectrum of some sorts all threw the grow...
keep us updated if ya get them bro
