hi all

am thinking of buying lowryder 2 seeds.
as you might know lowryder has an autofloweing gene that enables it to bloom much quicker than other.
the only problem is the amount per plant is very small (between 5 and 10 g).
Therefor you need more plants to get a god amount.

the seeds come in packs of 10 from the joint doctor.

so...I need more seeds and i dont want to buy more.

can i just let a strong male and a strong female take care of the matter to produce more seeds to be used in the next grow.

and if so can this be done more than once to give me seeds and not having to buy new ones every year or so?

thanks for posts in advance

Hello Mate

just did some lr2s this summer and it didn't go very well, perhaps I was missing something or perhaps it was a crappy batch but there was hardly any bud. very suceptable to mites too. there's a thread in the outdoor section.

I've got about 40 F2 seeds from the last one, might chuck some in but as the parents were rubbish I can't really see much play in it.

It takes longer than they advertise for the plant to reach maturity, at least 10weeks. In 10 weeks you can have a normal plant just a few weeks away from harvest if it's a quickie, a plant that would produce 5 x as much as the lr2.

there's a thread somewhere about choosing plants for seeding, don't quote me but i think that later flowering plants are preferred.

good luck

hey sombro

thanks for the reply
I Read your report. it pained me to read about it.
I thought i would give it a try to see if you had a bad batch or if the strain is just bad.

Have read many successful lr2 grows on other forums they sounded fine.

thanks for the well wishes and tips

I've also seen some successful grows, and also others that bombed. Outdoors mine were open to all sorts of nasty variables that hopefully would be all but eradicated in a decent room. Also my methods are hardly scientific, a bit more attention to detail wouldn't hurt I'm sure.

I can't believe the strain is inherently bad. Perhaps it's just a bit fragile.

Anyway all the best, chuck up some photos and I'll let you know if I bung in any of the F2's, wonder how many will autoflower?
