OK, let me just say.
When you get pop-ups under your browser....10:1 its a trojan downloader. I just thought I'd clear that up.
I can ussually get rid of a bug in under 15 minutes. Maybe 30 if its a bastad.
But I got one....Holy fucking shit!!!!!!!
it was a damn vaccuum cleaner for other trojans. I have dealt with some crap. I even went in to safe mode w/ command prompt and manually removed the one I "thought" it was....nope this lil bastad dug itself in so damn deep I had to format and start over. I saved all my data (the damn hard way...had to use the command prompt becuase it finally wrecked "windows explorer" when accessing "my docs". (last time I seen one like this was a damn worm that almost wrecked a work server...damn stupid employees bringin in MP3 disks without scanning first)
OK had to vent....I got the lil fucker finally.
Now to my question.
I'm averaging 350kb/s download torrents
but the web pages are slow as dirt. I'm on IE. Should I got back to Firefox (i'm still stuck with IE for CAD, and why I had a bitch of a time...snuck in on me)
anythoughts why my DL's would be screaming fast and webpages be slow?
Ran good ole crap cleaner, but still slow
(business cable line...w/ cat-5 not wireless)
