is the 400 w hps flood light i see on sale at home depot useable?

didn't know they had em that big. Might have to swing by there myself.
but as long as its florous, Metal Halide (MH), or High Pressure Sodium (HPS) they will work.

they should work but they might not be as good as plant bulbs

I use 2 250's that are standard HPS @ $19 each :D
ACE Hardware has the 400's too

thanx i will try that. i'm haveing a hard time finding lights.
i have a 22 day old that is working on its 4th set of leaves but it seem the 2nd set is curling under at the tip others wise looks fine. sorry no info on strain, first timer, bag seed

most peeps that get these flood light's tear them apart and make it a remote ballast set up to help with heat as well as get or make a good plant reflector for our growing needs...

3x3 foot space and how ever many plants you can cram in :)
