Ok so i have a theory, and i was wondering if any of you vets could shed some light on it.

Basically the theory is that the more you hurt your plant the more potent it might turn out.

Im going off 2 Cali orange bud grows and this is all i have to base my theory on. Ok, so first grow was perfect, hardly any nute burn, no light burn, no ph inbalance, and we grew one 5 and one 6 and a half foot indoor beasts. Was nice bud.

However the second grow was a little more complicated. The plant was a clone of the first grow, LST'd for a month, and due to reasons beyond our controll it had to spend 3 weeks in a garden shed in the coldest weeks of winter with no light / water.

By the time we managed to bring it inside it was almost dead. Thing had about 3 leaves, browning thinned out and drooping. Root growth was non existant over this period so we were able to remove the plant in its cube from the airstone pot and place her in our NFT tank.

She made a full recovery and provided buds id say twice as potent as the last harvest.

So clone, mistreated, stronger and bigger yeild?

gave this a bit thought and i dont recall an abused plant in my garden come'n back stronger from the note's i have...

To be honest i don't see much diff in the one's that get abused compared to the ones that don't smoke wise.... smaller yield mainly but still same smoke strain for strain for me :)

when I snap necks i still dont notice a diff in effects of the high

grow on

beat to hell plants...I've never noticed increase in yeild (unless your countin seed weight too from the bananas poppin out all over the place from stress). Pruning does cause stress, but if done right...not anything to worry about.
I think if its taken care of and nurtured it will give you the best reward. IMHO

My theory on this, your first cycle was a plant from seed, flowered early and forced to maturity. Even at 3' and alternating nodes the plant still has not reached full maturity. 6 months is what I've heard it takes from seed, and in my experience I'd agree with that.
Every time I've grown from seed, the clone was a better stone then the donor, but only for that first cycle. Clones of the clone continue on at similar potency, but that first one truly stands out as better then from seed.

I say try it again, this time with less issues and quite possibly see that the buzz is better yet. Keep the plant healthy all thru veg and flower. If you want to stress her, reduce her water intake over the last week. Force a little bit of a drought on her, natural defenses should kick in and get some trichs to poppin.

Well its always worth a theory i guess.

Thanks for clearing things up, the sexual maturity makes sence, and the clone did have at least 2 months in veg on top of the original plant that had about 4 to 5 weeks.

and dawg, despite all the trauma, and the timer breaking with them sitting in the dark for almost 2 days after rejuvination, she was a through and through female. No seeds. But i dont plan on making a habbit of mistreating our plants, care and love are the best tactics by far.
