what time of day do YOU harvest?

Just curious about how others do it. Some time way back I read that plants can be more potent if harvested in the morning, and have been doing it that way since. I never gave it much thought really.
I imagine there's some scientific document around explaining it, and if anybody wants to throw it up if they have heard about it somewhere be my guest.
I haven't noticed myself, but its nothing I've been looking to test specifically.

I do at night or at sun up when they are plump and happy ... after reading the same thing


but I've harvested @ noon before and it was just as good

PS: I'm not seen cutting or where its going in the dark ....... a smart thing OD

Light does have an effect on THC CBN ratios, but minute IMO. So it really don't matter IMHO.

I'll have to do a test to see if there's enough of a change to be worthwhile, but for now I guess i'll stress cut whenever I feel like it.

I read that plants feed their roots during the dark hours, so I have always cut first thing in the morning just as the lamp comes on. Who knows if this makes any difference, and if it does it is probably not much. I sort of have this idea that I can effect the taste of the bud (for example, I might try to "sweeten up" some juicy fruit by adding molases), but not really the potency as that is mostly in the genetics.
I have another "rule" that I don't decide when to chop a plant when I am stoned as I don't think my eyesight or judgement are the best then!

I too have read that the THC in the plant is strongest at sunrise but I never heard how much stronger. The way we all grow and the potency is such that I doubt it would be a noticeable amount. I get stoned off one hit of my weed and 2 hits makes me wanna sit and eat chips, so how much stronger do I need it to be? :p

i have messed around with that and i do think that harvested in the morning the THC is stronger but could be the strain too i guess i never tried with the same strain but noticed most plants harvested in the morning are stronger:smoke1:

The biggest factor keeping me chopping at "sunrise" is the common sense that plants use stored nutrients when photosynthesis is occurring therefore if you cut before light you cut the plant before it starts bringing up nutrients from the soil into the leaves, for photosythesis.
