Right I have the air pumps. 1500 litres an hour to start with but I need to know what kind of pump materials are acceptable?
I see 'anti-corrosion aluminium shaft' (doesn't sound good) and stainless steel shafts.
What's recommended? What style of pumps does everyone else here use?

Air pumps are usual not submerged in the water, but standing next to your grow with a air hose going to the resovior. At the end u place a bubble rod or airstone or what ever you choce to make bubbles, your local petshop og hydro store will have em in diffrent size and shape.
If your pump for some reason need to be submerged in your resovior you will need a stainless 316L steal pump, it's a acid resistance steal that will not get desolved in your nutrient mix.
Usual you need this for your feeding system, pumping water to your plants and not for moveing air.

Woops, my mistake. I made that sound a little confusing Palin. As a plumber I'm pretty much up on plumbing re submersible etc but I should have stated the material construction concern was with nutrient content and as you rightly guessed feed pump. As I sarted the thread I mention I obtained the pump, the subsequent Q was regarding obtaining a nute pump.
I had asked the Q whether stainless nute heaters were acceptable and was told they weren't, which is why part of the Q regards stainless. I now know that A1 stainless is in fact the only steel that a manufacturer will use if hydro specific, more the same as machined marine stainless being A1 grade. I should have known this but I was completely green on what was acceptable to hydro nutrients beyong glass and some plastics.
I've now gone NFT and have elimated all air pumps in the process. No noise, no extra crap to go wrong and .... well even less bloody noise!!
The loudest item in my grow is a brand new acoustic fan, which gives you an idea how peacefull it is.
Oooo I almost forgot, less generated heat too.
