Hello guys and gals, hope everyone is doing well. I have not been around since my trip to Europe. Past few months have been spent recovering from my artificial disk surgery. Anyways, on to my question to anyone who might have some information for me...

I have had three back surgeries, and was using perscription pain medication to control the pain. I was arrested with some of my pain medication on me and was charged with felony posession of a controlled substance and felony false perscription because I did not have the bottle on me. I showed the judge my perscription however he still made me enroll in a very short four month state drug program. Requires me to go once a week for 4 months, two hours a week, not too bad. My problem is... This is a drug treatment facility. The judge specified that I will be drug tested, and anything in my system that a doctor did not perscribe will be considerd illegal.

Now... I was able to get off the pain medication after being on it for three years, which was very tough as the body becomes chemically dependant, however... I have no idea how they will react/treat the fact that I am a prop. 215 patient using medical marijuana to relieve pain as opposed to addictive perscription opiates/opioids. If you want to get technical, it's a state mandated program, and state law says I can legally use the medication.

Anyone have any idea how they will react? Should I prepare for the worst?
Any advice would be apprecaited....

Thanks guys,
~TS

I cant help ya on the Q,but glad to have ya back on the boards mate.I would think that if you have a 215 card that you are safe from the treatment center but you may want to get another opinion cause for real,I dont know.

yes, if you have any perscription medication outside the bottle (even perscription motrion) or something of that nature, it's illegal. At least here in CA. Totally sucks. Judge sent me to treatment because I was dependant on the pain medication, but I have been off it for a bit now so there really is not a point to going, but it's either that or lack of freedom

take care guys

I bet if you where an 75 year old man with those MTWTFSS med containers, they would have not done a thing to you. My son got busted in Texas for the same thing. Carrying doctor prescribed meds out of the bottle. Has to go to court and have his doctor appear on his behalf to prove he had a script. Lets see, bail cost, lawyers cost, doctors hourly rate, time lost from work and he wasn't even wrong. Our laws are all screwed up.

Good luck, my wishes are with you.

Well, I went in for my first meeting today. My counselor is totally cool with the the medical marijuana, however he did say the final decision will rest in the judges hands. Hopefully the county court does not have a problem with it, we'll find out.

Cheers
