lets try it out shall we :) lets search for some ac/dc hells bells

for this search we don't want a ton of crap sites and spam sites so we need to get them out of the search

use'n basic google search option's lets start... no dont just type hells bells :rolleyes:

plug this into the google search bar

intitle:"index of" (mp3|mp4|avi) hells.bells -html -htm -php -asp -cf -jsp

which will give you only 85 hits instead of 85 billion and take's you right to the index on the server of those results :D

first site on the list seems to be a collage (students free space) and has the file for easy access ;);) and downloaded pretty fast for me even on dialup

(mp3|mp4|avi) this part can be changed if you only want a certain file type like mp3 (mp3). use periods in name of file not spaces hells.bells

in firefox once you plug the ac/dc search in the search bar and get the results you can then hit ctrl b and right click and make a new book mark

i named mine index, then paste the results url into the location and key word music.. edit out the hells.bells and put %s there like so

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=intitle%3A%22index+of%22+%28mp3%7Cmp4%7Cavi%29+% s+-html+-htm+-php+-asp+-cf++-jsp&btnG=Search

then go back to google and search like so

music hells.bells or what ever file name you might be looking for ;)

almost! after you've saved the URL into your bookmarks, you don't need to go to google to search. I gave my bookmark the keyword "music". so, from my browser from any website, i type in: music hells.bells and it brings me to google for the results. or music led.zeppelin ... anything.

dawg got me all worked up on this last night in chat and i miss posted the info

once the bookmark is set with the %s and a keyword (music or what ever) just search from any site in your browser like G said with the keyword first ;)
