Alright Indoor Grower Starting

Hi... Looking to start indoor growing before winter starts. Just like 2-4 plants in my closet. That a good idea? Probably a space of about 3x3. I kind of want to go the hydroponics way but it just sounds to difficult. If anyone knows a easy setup that has worked for them indoor please tips would be very appreciative. First off, i need advice on : 1) Light - What would be best fluros? Or what?
2) Soil... what type of soil should i use. 3) Water - Ive been told you have to have the right water nutrients. 4) Space is 3x3 enough space for at least 2 plants. 5) Whats the best way to germinate my seeds? How long is best to wait ? I've read a lot and its helped but these are just some questions i've been wondering about. Thanks for the help if there is any! :)

In my opinion, a 400 watt HPS or MH light would be perfect for a small indoor grow in a 3x3 area with only a few plants. This is basically the same thing I do, or would like to do.

2) Soil... what type of soil should i use.
Tons of good pre-mixed soils at stores, and lots of ways to make your own. Fox Farm's Ocean Forest soil is tried and truly killer. You can use it straight out of the bag with great results. In my experience, as long as you're buying a decent quality organic soil your plants with react well enough. IE. The kind of stuff you get at home depot, lowes, or local nurseries.

3) Water - Ive been told you have to have the right water nutrients.
PH is a big concern of the water, test your tap water for it's PH. I'll attach an image for you to look at that shows how PH affects nutrient uptake at different ranges. Weed in dirt likes a PH of around 7.

4) Space is 3x3 enough space for at least 2 plants.
Yes, or more depending on how big you let them get.

5) Whats the best way to germinate my seeds? How long is best to wait ? I've read a lot and its helped but these are just some questions i've been wondering about.
Check the germination subforum, or do a general search on this site. I'm positive there are tutorials around.

This is KANGKUSH...lol i forgot my other password so i had to make a new account. Thanks for the information! i've actually got 6 plants growing total. 2 i kno are female nugget and one i know for sure is purp. Im going to take pictures of my setup when i get it all done. Im trying to get about 10-15 plants in a shed or attic with insallation. anymore info that would come to mind to help me out i would appreciate it. Thanks
