Hey All, heres how its growing at the moment. I have 3 strains that have been vegging for a week orso now and as my old friend CB has opened up a new site i thought i would start documenting this grow, also I think it will be beneficial for me cos i feel like a newb:rolleyes:

I havent cropped a plant for the best part of six months now and my stash has long been smoked and due to personal circumstances I have been unable to grow any homegrown. I now have a new life as a single man and the good times are gonna roll soon...

The three strains I have growing at the moment are sensi skunk#1, Nirvana Blue Mystic and my very own snappilicious bubblegum (from previous grow ages ago) which tastes more like pink bubblegum than any of the crap they sell in amsterdam and try and pass off as Bubblegum! :eek:

They are currently in a variety of sized pots, mainly small due to the fact I am on a very limited budget and cant afford any more soil doh!!!! They are in Plagron BatMix soil and i will be using biobizz nutrients for this crop although i will be investing in the proper plagron nutrients when i have some more cash.

I even have 2 bubblegums in a little bubbler..but im not entirely sure what to do with them as im a soil gardener and hydro is the darkside to me:p I dont even have anything to measure the ppm and ec thingys:o is all good tho.

For these little babies I have 500w (4 x 125w) of envirolights, 600w hps cooltube and a 250w hps and a S&P TD500 extractor fan...but for now im only using two blue 125w enviros:D My only plan for this first grow is to harvest some bud and maybe find a mother of each strain to keep in veg..maybe..as some of you may remember im a mean old bstard to my girls, i like to bend them over and tie them up, i'd like to do this again just to see if i still have the skill:eek:

I will take some pics as soon as my cam is fully charged and I can motivate myself to go to my grow room:rolleyes:

I was very tempted to buy some Hindu Kush seeds out in the dam but to be honest the seeds are well over priced there and i didnt find a strain i couldn't order from home via the internet..so i kept my euros in me sky rocket:p


Heres a couple of pics... i never noticed how yellow a few of them have gone.. im unsure whether this is due to me accidently feeding them some biobizz grow or something else like overwatering or a deficiency due to lack of soil...:o ...

Except for my outdsoor plants which basically grew themselves last summer, I hadn't grown either since last may.

It's surprising how much we forget.

If cheap didn't drop by to tell me how limp my clones looked, I wouldn't have given them the air they needed by opening the vents.

Fillabong, I think you are right my friend. Its FLUSH time as soon as the soil drys out a little.. I know i fed them too much, what a newb:o I have 2 bubblegums in my bubbler and Im thinking they will grow into monsters too, I just hope they are both female:rolleyes:

Did I mention I have no restrictions on how big I can let them go? I have an unlimited amount of space this time so each one of the plants pictured above could be allowed to be monsters:eek:

I havent left BioBizz, I still have 3 full bottles of Grow,Bloom and TopMax but as the allmix soil is like rocking horse shit here and the next best thing i can get is the plagron batmix ive made the decision to try the nutes that go with the soil..Im not shy of experimenting:cool: Ive heard and seen (on the net) great things about their range of nutes...hows your mother Cranky?:p

I havent had the pleasure of sitting in on one of your grows yet,but im lookin forward to watchin this one.looks like a nice line up,got all my fingers and toes crossed for a bunch of females for ya bro.Blue misty is a common strain but im interested in watchin your snapilicious.I grew out a bublegumXhaze,altho it was kickass smoke i wasnt all that impressed.It was a long strain i let it go for 80 days and it prolly could have used another couple weeks.That was just to long to tempt my tummy.mine wasnt real stinky,infact unless you were right on top of it there was vurtually no smell,till ya smoked it.

Hey All Happy New Year to HGB2thumbs

Burnsy Mate, The area in the last picture is now used as a flowering area with a blue 125w envirolight and a 250w hps:cool: I started flowering on 27/12/05... The plants in flower are 3 skunk#1, 2 of my bubblegum and 5 blue mystics. The two bubblegums in the bubbler are already starting to show sex and early predictions are 75% sure there both female (touch wood) but hopefully in a weeks time i will know for sure, the otherts in pots and soil arent showing any sign of sex at all. I will post a pic of the ones flowering after the lights go out as the hps messes with my camera:o

midwestbluntman Good to have you drop in2thumbs The mother plant I made my seeds from was a polyploid and gave me just over 5 ounces total yeild.. none of these seeds are exhibiting that trait tho:( time will tell i guess.

In veg we have an assortment of plants at various stages, Im willing to let these just sit under 24hour light till they show sex then flower them..but those of you that know me already know its just a matter of time before i get bored and put them into flower too:crazysign

I dont think I have mentioned I have managed to aquire a couple of cutting from a female Mango plant..These have rooted are in the veg room:cool:

The veg space is kept in a spare fitted cupboard behind me bed:D

Sorry about the poor quality pics but to be honest there isnt much to be seen at this stage...I always veg my plants under blue and red spectrum 125w envirolights as they seem to promote tight nodes and keeps the plants nice and squat, I switch the big lights (hps's)on sometime between the first and second week of flowering this method of lighting seems to work for me and gives me what im looking for..or atleast it has done in the past!

I have had to repot these plants into a cheap soil thats apparatnly ideal for tomatos and herbs.. at £1.25 for a 33litre bag i grabbed a few as im skint and cant afford the more expensive plagron soil at £12.50 for 50 litres so I am expecting a few problems with these plants in one way or another, I have only filled the pots halfway as im hoping that I will be able to buy some hydroton pebbles to put in the bottom as the soil has no perlite in at all!:o

to be honest snaps ive used cheap ass soil a few times...ive even mixed like 3cheap ass soils together to give me what i feel is the best i can come up with on a budget.next time ya in town goto wilkos.ya can get a small bag of perlit for 2 quid and that will do yas for a grow.3 quid will get yas an even bigger bag2thumbs

the way i see it is the only prob ya gonna have with cheap soils is if the ph is way out or the nutes in it is to much....if this is the case then ya will notice it almost straight away so as you seem to be doing ok in it then ya should be fine for the rest of the grow;)

I dont have a ph meter anymore so i hope the ph isnt too far out! I have noticed a slight yellowing of the lower leaves like they needed some N so i hit them up with a dose of biobizz grow&bloom (1ml per litre of each).. the bags of soil dont have any npk markings or information about what nutes they have inside! all it says is enough food for 4-6 weeks!

yo snappy...as ya not doing 100% organic grow this time why not get some baby bio when ya getting that perlite.it costs about £1.50 and 6 drops of that to 1ltr of ya feed will keep ya plants green right the way through;)

My soil might not be organic in the veggin plants but thats not to say the bud is going to be compromised with chemical shite:eek:

I know you have used this (babybio)in almost all your previous grows and ive observed you harvest some cracking buds but once you have the taste for organic bud everything else is second best in my opinion:p

plus ive only used baby bio for the last 2 years....thats 3 years without it and 2 years with it and it dont make no diff in taste.i only use it upto week4-5 of flowering like.

i dont do it for the fact that biobizz is organic.i use bio bizz cuzz its a great product.the fact that it happens to be organic is a bonus.....i mean unless ya 100% organic man (organic everything/food/drink)then i cant see the harm in smoking bud thats had abit of non organic feed.i mean you use cigs in ya spliffs....that alone has more chems in than baby bio;)

In my opinion it isnt good to smoke bud that has been grown with chemical nutes as being a scientist i know that there will still be residual traces of the nutes in the finished product and chem nutes certaintly arent designed for some stoner to go and smoke them as smoking and eating are two very different processes, ofcourse flushing the plants at the end does reduce this slightly..the effects chem nutes have on the human body when smoked hasnt been researched enough imo and also you cant compare ciggs to babybio:rolleyes:

as far as im concerned this grow IS STILL 100% organic simply bcos the soil was thoroughly leached before being used and not being able to find any chemicals in the make up of the soil on the internet..

I had this organic thing with a hydro shop not long ago. To be honest it's a cop out if you don't go 100% organic from seed to harvest. It's like saying you're a vegan but it's ok to eat hamburgers cause theres no such animal as a ham :laugh:

Well as ive im in week 2 flowering a few are showing sex.........

The 2 in the bubbler i am 95% certain are Male:eek: ah well without a way to measure the ppm and all that there growth has been fairly slow compared to the potted plants.. ive pushed them out the way and will leave them to do their own thing.. just incase they decide to have a sex change:D

I also have a Blue Mystic male thats looking like a good candidate for being the Daddy...:eek: real stout and stocky with a thick stem.

I have one definite Blue Mystic female..the one i topped!2thumbs

the others arent showing any real signs just yet:rolleyes:

well all this fussing about organics i feel i have to clear a little of the dust.....

i never set out from the beggining to have a 100% organic grow it just so happens i had shit loads of organic soil and feed to begin with, I dont think it would mix well with chem nutes. The soil im using does have nutrients in there but only what is in the peat naturally, nothing added by manufacturer.

I think i know what im doing with hydro, i mean i understand the basics but for now I am at the mercy of the grow gods as i cant monitor the ph, ec and ppm of the res.. im on welfare lol and cant afford such luxuries yet.:o :teef: Donations welcome:eek: hehe

I have in veg the following plants:-

20 Skunk#1 cuttings (im giving 10 to a friend)
1 Female Blue Mystic
1 Female Snapilicious Clone
6 x Female Mango Clones (1 in my bubbler, 1 fully rooted in pot, 4 small clones in rockwool)
4 x Femle Hindu Kush Clones in rockwool (ready for NFT)
1 x Hindu Kush plant (sex unknown yet)
1 x Topped and trained Snapilicious plant - sex unknown
3 x White Widow seedlings

Over the past couple of weeks ive been killing all males, including the one that was previously chilling on my speaker!! I have a nice collection of plants in veg and the majority of them are female:p

I am having problems getting the kush clones i was givn to show roots from the rockwool..same goes for the Mango cuttings that I took and put in rockwool too:o Last night curiosity got the better of me and i cut the rockwool open and was surprised to some little roots showing:o Ya i know i shouldnt have looked but it was either that or pulling the fuckers out of the rockwool and sticking them in soil:eek:

Im hoping the Kush clones take off in the next week orso, for now they look no different to the last pic i posted when i first got them:eek: I thought this rockwool was easy to clone into??

My plan for the veg area remains the same. I want to keep 3-5 mother plants of different varieties, i think i'm getting there. I have cracked open 3 white widow seeds and im thinking of starting off some K2 and some Nirvana Ice too:p

I had a visit from my parents today so the grow rooms have been taken down and all grow related materials hidden. My plants are hiding in cupboards and wardrobes all over the house from my parents!! I dont think they would appreciate my indoor gardening:rolleyes: As soon as they are gone i will put the lights back up and turn everything back on and maybe I will post some pics (finally) lol

FLOWERING (250w HPS & 2 x 125w enviros)

I have forgotten what week flowering I am in but to be honest I dont think it matters.. Ive been culling males and have got the numbers down to 8 female plants.

I think the ratio of male to females in this grow has been well skanky. From nearly 30 beans i got lss than 50:50:mad: ah well..

They are all at different stages of flowering and therefore will be chopped one by one rather than as a whole crop..In other words Im trying to dial in a perpetual harvest:rolleyes: Hence the skunk#1,Mango and Kush clones in veg..

Plants in 12/12:-

3 x Blue Mystic
3 x Skunk#1
2 x Snapilicious

The skunk#1's are real odd looking plants imo cos the side branches got so floppy i chopped them for cuttings and had to tie the others upto the main stem!

Blue Mystics are coming along and looking nice:D The snapilicious only went in a few days ago..hopefully im getting my 600wHPS back off my friend today as i got a phone call to come help him chop down his crop last night. If i do get it back im whacking it on top of the flowering area straight away:D

The Mango I am smoking already:p My friend I got the cutting from also gave me some bud:cool:

The Mango bud looks "hairy" and really stinks of mango juice when the bud is broken up. When you smoke it I wouldnt say it tastes of mango - very citrusy and fruity, one of the tastiest weeds ive smoked..sometimes i think it tastes like Grape?!

fook me is all I can say:p The mother plants these come from are very sativa looking and are touching 6.5ft in height lmfao:D

Luckily it looks like the Kush i have from seed is quite Indica based...

what soil are they in(lets not go into the organics of it lol:D )ive just tried some new soil...just peat based shit from poundstretcher.....just needed it to start um off like but today ive goto change the soil as my bb aint liking it one bit..(locking up) aint done fuck all for the last 3 days so i goto wash the old shit off and use the soil i always use for seedlings...

maybe its the soil like???i used to use this other crap to and my plants were fine in it until half way through.... just firing a few possibilities

I flushed shit loads of water through..i stuck them in the bath and used the shower:D This was about a week ago and to be honest all ive seen is the "stuff" progressively take over..*rips hair out*



The "stuff" affects the large fan leaves to begin with starting at the bottom then progressilvely up the plant and on to smaller fan leaves..

I'll grab some pics later, im trying to motivate myself to get the train to thebig city and get a simple ph tester..

I think your right about the soil bro.. Im thinking cos mine is peat based cheap stuff too that its quite acidic, that acidic soil combined with possibly a high ph tap water is my suspect at the moment..hence the need for a ph tester.

its was only affecting the skunk1's but today i noticed a bubbelicious thats started it too..ive grown 100's of bubbelicious and never seen it once before..

Is it my environment? is it my tap water?

i get about 2 to 3 grows off bio bizz and then i like to renew...ive got full bottles of bio bizz at the mo but i wont use them as thier like 9 months old...the stuff goes off like....other than that bro im baffled as its happening in both soil and nft:(

Right, after a few sleepless nights and endless searching on the net i have come to the conclusion that my culprit is my water supply.

I have soft water with a naturally low ph of 6.2. when i add nutes it drops to around 5.5. I have cheapass soil which is acidic (peat based) which further drops the overall Ph....

All in all this is whats fucking my plants up, in my NFt tank after adding nutes the ph drops right down to somewhere around 4-5.yuck.

To counter this im not going to water my plants:eek:

sorry for the lack of updates but ive been away for a few days like;)

The area is approx 2m x 2m x 2m. There is just over 30 plants flowering (different stages) of several strains.

I am using 6oow cooltube, 250w hps and 125w blue enviro. I'd like to say that my house stinks but thanks to my carbon scrubber there is no smell, which is kinda strange you know:D

As I have a cheap cam takin shots when the lights are on is a pain in the ass.. it just so happens im doing a res change on the NFT and Bubbler 2moro so I will take some shots of the plants im thinking of chopping first:D

I have already sampled the Blue Mystic and a bud from the cheese looking Skunk1 and all I can say is they are both tasty as fuck and that was a quick 3 day speed dry and no cure:p

I also took the oppurtunity to hoover the growroom carpet and lay down some plastic white sheeting on the floor, i think the rooms a lot brighter now!

I have a 12inch airstone in the NFT tank and in the bubbler a 6 inch one.

I also have a spare pump and 3 spare airstones so in time i will be building my own hydro setup for propagating clones.......:eek:

Cheers Bro, aye its been a while since I chopped a plant, it feels good:p

The bubbler and nft are doing well due to my tap water i think. although the ph my tap water does fluctuate quite a lot. The range is ganja friendly at 5.5 - 6.5. My water is soft and im guessing has a low ppm count. i still have bottles of ph up and down and havent even cracked open the seal yet!:rolleyes: I just change the res every 2-3 weeks and daily top up with water daily and check the ph. in my liquid ph tester the water is piss yellow. I add half strenght nutes once a week.

I noticed the other day that TopMax can be used in hydro. So i added a little to the bubbler res:D

Im still going to buy a proper ph and ppm meter when i can afford it tho just so i can tweak things lol

Ive cracked on and made my Bubbler Cloner. Here is the first prototype i just made. It has 4 mango cuttings i took earlier today.

Total cost for this build has been zilch as i had all the bits and peices scattered around the house lol

:p well ive been indulging:o I sneakily snipped a bud from a skunk1, Bubbelicious and Blue Mystic about a week ago and have been letting them dry..thats until i smoked most of the 3 buds today.

Heres a quick (and early) smoke report

Skunk1 - man wat a taste, Ive only smoked anything like this before and I was told wat i was smoking was the Kush.. Im glad Im keeping this strain. A real sweet taste and smell that is really strong. The buzz is uplifting and energetic. No twinges of paranoia:cool:

Bubbelicious - still tasty as ever. this time its quite spicy, almost ;like peppper bud lmfao The buds are covered in crystals and makin a spliff by hand is a real PITA as it turns into a sticky mess. I think this would be a good strain to make hash from.

Blue Mystic - man I love this one. A really satisfying fruity earthy taste. The smell I cant quite pin down. A kind of mix of skittles and ribena. Im not sure what to make of the hit as i was quite stoned by the time i got round to smoking this one so a better report all round in a week or so...

sorry no pics this time round. will do for the next post. I am also trying my hand at water curing. I have about 3.5grams in a glass of water in a cool dark place. we will come back to this experiment in 7 days:D

The blue mystic i chopped last week is curing in a mason jar and weighed in at 29grams dried this morning. Im not pleased with the yeild but in hindsight I knew what I was doing when i flowered her early and indeed I still have a stash to smoke and dont have to go and score:)

Well 2moro is harvest day (again)... this is becoming a weekly thing:D

I have decided to let the other 2 blue mystics go another week or two as the THC crystals arent as amber as i would like them so I am cutting down my Cheese 2moro:p
