I started out with 14 plants after the high winds bugs, cat, and dog i had 5 plants left. I JUST ended up with 2 fms . I am real green at everything so i was wondering if i took a cutting/clone off 1. would that still be the same as taking a clone from a mother. I picked up some schultz take root { hormone} and read the cloning for dummies cause thats me. I have a GE plant light 65 {br30} would that be a good enough light to get the clones off to good start. So that i could put outdoors later.

mother plants are vegging, so if you're plant is flowering it's not exactly the same thing, although pretty much. clones from flowering plants take a bit longer to root and you should probably get it done as quickly as possible. It's the same thing as taking a clone from a mother plant, because a mother plant is just a regular plant that you've chosen to take clones from. I am not completely sure about those plant lights. Compare the light it produces to that of a fluorescent light. I know from experience that fluorescent lights work well for cloning purposes.

So would a screw in 50 wt flourescent work? or does it have to be the tube kind?
