hey all

got a couple plants going into 4th week of veg right now, got a 400MH on em on 24/0. medium is fox farms ocean forest, temps stable about mid 70's and RH at 50%

Yesterday I hit em with a higher dose of Grow Big (6-4-4) than usual and today I discovered something that looked like nute burn but only on the bottom set of fan leaves.

I'm not sure if this is nute burn, kinda looked like Mg is out of wack to me from looking at Plant abuse chart, but not sure.

again its only affecting the bottom set of fan leaves

cant post a pic right now will try later but as far as looks:

its got yellowish blotchy patches all over the leaf and the leaf tip is curled upwards and back if that helps

Thanks for any help all will try to get a pic posted ASAP :o

Hey dooby. I am not all that knowledgeable about sick plants, but it sounds like some kind of nutrient lockup. I believe that if it were nute burn, or caused directly from the nutrients you added, it would start at the top of the plant.

I would feed heavy on the water next time around, more than you normally do and let a good amount run out. If after doing this once or twice the problem is still continuing, i'm sorry and I didn't give you good advice. But see if you can get it to stop. :p

Peace.

Update: Okay today would be 2 days after the feeding and I am starting to think now this may be the cause of nute solution accidently splashing on the bottom leaves :slap: :crazysign
I'm going to wait a few more days before doing anything drastic just to see if it is going to affect more leaves or if this is it :watch:

If this is the case thats just my fault for being a dumbass :halol:

hey dooby-
i'm growing in ff ocean forest with pure blend pro (organic). i haven't had any probs with overfeeding (and i'm fairly aggressive about food...), but ph has been an issue.
not sure if ya have a ph meter to test the ph of the solution before ya feed, but they help a lot.
higher levels of nutes will drop your ph. my tap h2o is 7.8, and after nutes it drops to 4.5
i use ph up to bring it to 6.5 before giving it to the plants.
the target ph in soil is 6.5-7.0, and outside of that you'll risk lockout.
as an aside, i use a bit of cal mag every other watering. the plants dig it.

hey dooby,

them leaves look to be on the soil to me?

if so do they get wet when ya feed?

if thats the case then no bigger really as one wont be smoke'n those any how, can just let die and fall off :)

I hate the soil huggers myself as I'm kinda sloppy when i water and feed the girls :o

CB i hope that is the case, as it hasn't spread to the other leaves.
Next time I will be a little more careful and see what happens :watch:

Gonna put em into 12/12 soon so I think a good flushing is in order anyway right? :D
