got a problem my plant is getting rootbound. can i pull it out of the pot and shave the roots down, then put new soil back in the pot?

Yes, but it may be less stressful to the plant to transplant to a larger pot size. If you do this i'd expect a few days of stress recovery.

what stage are you at???
veg/flower...what size pot its in and how tall is the plant etc;)

what is root bound? plant not as tall as you want it to be?
done many in party cups up to 35 inches tall with plenty of bud come chop time:)
have allso done root prune to force flower and in reveg when need be
like G said 3-4 days of shock like when done which is no biggy in my book

My plant is 135 days into veg and about 5 foot tall. I didnt have the funds to get another light for flower and the cfl lights to clone with until about 3 weeks ago. I took 4 clones 2 weeks ago and 3 made it, took 5 more yesterday and am know ready to bud it out. My light is at maximum height and cant go up anymore, my plant is about a foot or two away and stays around 75 to 80 degrees. The leaves are turning yellow and wilting away quickly. So i pulled the plant over and tied her off to give about another foot of distance from light to plant. I just dont know if the plant has outgrown the pot or not. A bigger pot would put me closer to the light so should i just top the plant and then repot or what?

Damn, KGB! 4 and a half months veg, 5 foot tall? Whoa! Hope you don't have a stretchy Sativa on your hands.
How big is the pot she's in now, dude?

what ya feeding um and what size pots are they in dude?
plants can double sometimes treble in size from the size they started to flower at:eek: ... could be over 10ft in your case lol...all depends on how much stretch and light is involved.;)

OMG im dying for a picture of this baby. :) Might be like reading a book then seeing the movie. Two different pictures, both beautiful in their own right though.

lol 5 foot inside is pretty big but outdoor that tiny i had 2 last year get past 7 foot and my bro grew one that turned out to be a male before i started growing that was like oh most 10 foot tall think it was like 9 foot and 9 inches
