There is a guy who i help called Lawrence he also gets help from Budbuddies regulary...
Lawrence basically suffers from MS, Phantom Limb hes lost the use of the right side of his body..hes had both his legs apmutated due to the pain he was recieving in his legs due to a condition that many lorry drivers get because they are always sat down in that position hes not in a good way as you can see!
i met him when Stockport opened the D.E(1st U.K Coffeeshop) and since then have tryed my hardest to help in anyway possible with making sure he has a supply of medi-weed!
Well today i finally got round to visiting him for christmas!!
He was happy to see me and recieve his Card but even happier when i pulled out the goodie bag to get him sorted for crimbo...
I started rolling the first joint as he loves to smoke and as tryed the different ways of using, the first joint was my homegrown Skunk number 1....Becasue Lawrence can only use his left arm slighty just to smoke really i put the joint in his mouth and lit it! He took a big puff and said
"Fucking Lovely" My reply fully organic my personlaly grown like!
I could see his body relaxing even more!
then i continued to roll his joints for him which were Sk#1 white widow and white rhino!!!
Just thought id share that Last time i saw lawrence he couldnt move his left arm becasue of spasms he gets when he has no medi weed...and its great to see someone get normal again through the help of cannabis!!!
Merry Christmas HOMEGROWNBUD2thumbs

You know I just remebered this thread after bumping into an old work friend the other day. I was walking through town and out of everyone that waves to me ( :p ) was this poor sod in a wheelchair sat outside a bank. He's only 40 and has MS, is blind in one eye and part paralised down one side. I know he's a toker from when we worked together but I just can't do the same as what Dibbz has done here. If I'd approach him about it he'd end up bragging he don't pay for weed or he gets it cheaper. Then in the next breath it'd be "Oh, and I bumped into ***"
I would give it to the UK donation system but I believe that guy has far too many hangers on and staff too fecking high to make it work. Remember when he opened a dutch coffee shop? Next or across the road to a police station!!
Theres making public aware of the cause and changing perspectives the right way, and theres saying feck you to police. It gives the whole cause that kind of WTF coating you know?
Dibbz did the right thing here. I just wish my hospital room had such good attendants!!

I agree there is no way to challenge the police but which staff are to high and which coffeeshop are you on about ive worked at them all bar 2 in the uk!
You gotta help sick people whatever way you feel nessacery innit bursny! Respect to you for doing what ever you do!

Dibbz if you were involved then maybe you seen the documentary on TV maybe 2 years ago. Both my partner and I couldn't believe the shops position and nor the film crew. I'm pretty sure it was in Scotland? Or way up north where this one was opened.
The staff being stoned thing may be a personal thing. I smoke and have done on and off for over 20 years (not many to most!) and I'm a firm believer that you shouldn't smoke in certain enviroments, public areas being one and using power tools another. If I opened a coffee shop you are bound to get some suspicious locals try it out just for a coffee but probably with other agendas for a report to the local parish council. This is where it fails me.
I'm not a big flag waving legalise canna protester and nor will I ever be, but I do believe that to educate those who are weary of cannabis and coffee shops you need to be not only as proffesional as a regular coffee shop but that extra % that will put their minds at ease. You only need make one seemlessly small mistake with a non toking inquisative customer and the shop will be spoken of as a stoners haven. Cool some may think but it's not. The idea of legalisation is to show were just the same as the guy next door, except we choose not to barf up on alcohol and beat up our wives but instead choose to chill out with MJ as a social activity both in growing and using. After all, how many websites are there on home brew and drinking your own piss? Probably 10% of the equal quality and membership numbers of an MJ site?

I defonately didnt go to scotland so i cant comment on that coffeeshop!
But as you say people will brand the coffeeshop as a stoners heaven just coz the newspapers do, i cant understand that you actually say

How the hell can u show the guy next door you are the same when all u get is the newspapers publising bollox!
And why is it that these same people who would call a coffeeshop coz of the staff, in which respect even in a professional coffeeshop in holland(which i have also worked in one)the staff are stoned but would you notice!
The thing is legalisation in my opinion should be all people who smoke should get up off arse and say something about it but they dont because unfourtunately have an attitude like yourself.......the whole scene of coffeeshops in the uk is so we can try eliminate the likes of me and you going to score shit weed at ridiculas prices!
And if we could work on a belgium model of how they accept cannabis:
legally you can grow 5 plants per person per household!
legally posses cannabis for personal use!
We wold have no problem with being prosecuted under section 6 of the MDA act as you do if your caught growing/cultivating here in the U.K
Any how back to the legalising bit, more and more voices is better than one.
I will not shout my in protest anymore too as the system can change things when it wants thats when you start fighting a war! The main thing im concerned about is the fact that people can benifit and be pain free from using cannabis, as im sure a few peeps can tell ya! And we can smoke a decent amount with out fear of prosecution espically when like yourself you dont put it in the eyes of the public! IE walking through manchester!
But i can say i have been on 2 documentries on this subject to do with cannabis!
Spliff on the sea, a look into Jeff Ditchfield and his venture to open a dutch themed cafe!
The Money Program, a look into Jimmy Ward member of L.C.A and his coffeeshop!!
Maybe you can find these somewhere and get more of an opinion!

It was typed in observation and not as an opinion. What's cool to one person is circumount to being a wanker to another as with everything, and that's why being politicaly correct in one sense can be seen as being oppressed, there are delicate times and areas of presenting a whole community that should be dealt with in a cirtain manner.
As for who lives nextdoor and what the papers say, nor I or anyone I know buys a paper and by your uptightness maybe you can understand why we don't.
End of observations for me. I'll stick to humor cause at least it'll give Cranky something to edit! ;)

"your daughter will become a prostitute if she smokes weed"
do u remember i can get the posters at later date! these were pinned everywhere.....
I respect your observations and opinions but to be honest i dont know the program your saw only the ones i have seen!
I agree that some people put themselves and the money first and soon forget the leagalising side of things!!!

Dibbz if you read this, my comment was more towards the 'hey look at me, I sell MJ in a way it'll take a search warrant to catch me".
What you done for Cranky is an honourable thing, and far above what med supporters make profit on, so happy new year Dibbz.

Thanks Dibbz for the sharing in all that you do..
I also take care of a guy that has phantom pain due to a partial foot loss and he has sezures (typo) in fact he had one yesterday (spent part of my day in the hospital with him)(meds for that are low thats why he had one or two)
I too have been sharing with him and he now thinking on getting his card. I can see him relax, his pain is less annoying to him.
You see we are the little green  helping those IN need..
