The Nation Demands Real Reform

Dear XXX,

I'm blown away by the response to Jim Jones' new video condemning New York's Rockfeller Drug Laws and the drug war. We released the video on Tuesday, and since then it's been viewed more than 20,000 times on YouTube and featured in scores of political and music blogs. Radio stations are covering the Rockefeller reform campaign and playing the song.

This video is raising attention about the injustice of New York's draconian sentencing laws, which formed the basis for the national drug war and are still in effect 34 years later. Since the video release, we've gotten calls from the state attorney general's office and a top democratic senator.

Now that we've got their attention, let's turn up the pressure!

Hundreds of people have already sent messages to the governor of New York and President Bush calling for reform of the Rockefeller laws and an end to the drug war. If you already took action, thank you! If you haven't yet, please add to the momentum!

Take action now.

Once you take action, please let your friends know about the video and ask them to send a message too.

Together, we can end America's longest war and restore justice in our communities.

Sincerely,

Gabriel Sayegh
