With so many cultivators here I thought it might be beneficial to bring up the subject of immature weed...
So many growers are impatient & make the very BIG mistake of harvesting to soon, this is such a mistake, not only does it cut into your yield, but it can also be hazardous to your health.
I am highly allergic to immature seeded weed(weed that has to many little white seeds)... if there are no seeds I can smoke it, but when seeded pot is harvested to early it makes me very sick.
Recently in desperation I smoked some weed that would have been chronic had it been allowed to mature, but because it was harvested way to early I became very sick, knowing this was the reason I became sick I decided not to smoke anymore & within just 36 hours I was feeling better.. my son & daughter don't seem to be allergic to it, but they do agree it would have been chronic IF it had been allowed to mature.

For sure. Some people just can't wait. My buddy was telling me the other day how he was sure his unknown strain would finish by the 50 day mark, I told him its highly unlikely, but I don't think he was convinced.

cut mine too early last year, paranoia- she'll destroy ya.

the 50 or so seeds I got were fully formed but when I first started to smoke the weed it made me massively paranoid.Almost all of my mates reported getting a similar feeling.
It was a decent smoke but I'm sure it would have been much better for being left another 10 days or so.

I have a White Widow that has been flowering for eight weeks tommorrow and it's difficult to be patient. I have a big cola that hasn't changed in 2 weeks. But it is definately not mature yet. I checked the trichomes this morning and they are all clear. It's hard to just sit and watch the plant do nothing while it matures. Now I'm starting to cut back the light to eight hours a day and I havn't watered it in a week. I was coming on here to post about harvesting and after reading this thread I've decided it's got to wait longer. I can't wait to smoke this one. I've sampled 2 mutants and the smoke is awesome, but none of it has been matured or aged properly. I've resolved to let this one go all the way, but I've been known to be a bit impatient and a bit impulsive...ooops...did I just cut that plant??? :watch:

I think it will be worth the wait if you give it another week or two... it really makes a difference...

i harvested my last lot about 2 weeks early as the bottom was done but the cola still had lots of white hairs.the weed was ok,it got me stoned and it smelt and tasted ok but i know for sure if i would have left it a few more weeks i would have been alot happier.ive heard that in the last two weeks is when the bud gets most of its potency.id cut it when your trics are opaque colour

Ahh me too !

Tis like anything in life you just got to give it time to mature. some things are poisonous well: like Ackee when young: "good things comes to those who wait"
