OK, my garden plants are starting to get off setting nodes and I want to get them in the ground as soon as possible. So what is the quickest way of getting them to show sex? I think someone once said to put a black paperbag over one of the branches... thoughts?
cover'n a branch so it gets 12 of darkness will work :) have done this to lower branchs before...
fing has a cool way to sex in veg as well :D ( he has pics on it here some where)and i have been take'n notes on that to see how it works and so far so good ;)

i usually veg them out at least until i see preflowers.
get a jewler's loupe (i use 30x, but 10x will do), and keep an eye on your nodes.
they should show soon.

Thanks guys, I know what to look for I just don't want to wait as long as it could take before they start showing preflowers. Some strains can really take a long time to show and I want to get these planted and growing ASAP.
I'll look for the thread on Fing's procedure.

I keep my seedlings in half filled 16 oz beer cups in a weak soil mix. After about two weeks I take the dirt out, fill the cup with full strength mix and put the plant back in, like a transplant but in the same cup. 2 - 3 more weeks and baby flowers will show. Something about being root bound I guess. I do it this way because then I don't waste any dirt on males, I can't afford extra dirt.
