About 3 weeks ago my lil plant finally showed its sex! Heres my question. My plant is showing pistils everywhere and i still want to take clones off of her (she still veggin). Can i take clones from her with her showing the pistils still? Some of the pistils are a 1/4" long. I just recently got the cfl's and have some clonex and a humidity dome on the way! Is it to late to take clones off my lil lady?

PS- The lower branches on the plant do not have any pistils on them yet.

clone away..... does not matter if the pistols show or not.

I have took clones 4 weeks into flower no problem :)

Thanks for the info CB I was getting worried that all this time spent getting the plant to this moment would be ruined. Never cloned before but i am gonna give it a try!

we have a few clone'n howto's about the place.... try the search out and read up a bit as there's many ways to go about it..

IMHO, yes you can have too much light when cloning.
I've found if the light is too close (too bright) it takes longer to root.
Keep the light 5" to 6" off the tops when using Fluorescent tube lights...... "In Like Flint!"

also,them pistals ya seeing are called preflowers,plants just reached maturity basically/showing their sex.most plants will show these in the first 3-4 weeks of veg males tend to show up first with me ;)

to much light when cloning i find can make ya leaves go like a transparent looking,,,almost white.somit to do with photosynthesis and lack of roots...cant remember the ins n outs now...will try and dig that info up for yas:cool:

I appreciate the advice you all have given me. I am gonna have to just try it and keep on trying it til i figure it out! Hopefully first time is the charm
