Has anyone used these products... my hydro dealer got them in and believes it might be best for me once I need more nutes... But I don't know anyone that has used them.

Here is their home page (http://house-garden.us/products.html).

I don't particularily want to be a guniea pig, so I'd like to know what people think of these products.

Kinda concerned about this here RAV baby. I know we talked about it, but thought some might not be able to make out this warning.

It says: 'Never use an oxygen pump in the nutrient container or growth table."

Sound like salt or phosphoric acid to me. :( I thought we were going organic?

I have used the coco line. It's decent stuff...but nothing special. I am having just as good results with the CNS line. $20/gallon. The Gh floranova line was just as good as well.

Cheers,

I use a few H&G products, and have been very impressed with them.

Their roots excelurator is fantastic. Huge root growth if fed for first 5 weeks with this. Better in my opinion than bio-bizz root juice, which i thought was good aswell.

The other products i use are the bud-xl, which again, i'm very happy with, and multizyme.

I've only just bought the multizyme, instead of cannazym, as i liked the previous two so much. Will see how it is after a good testing.

These three products are supposed to be organic. They also do an organic 1 part soil nute, which i was considering. But i can't quite work out how a 1 part nute would work with veg/flower. Anyone here know how it works?

I was then looking at the Aarde a+b soil nutes, which aren't organic. I do want to try some of their base nutes, as the supplements have been very impressive so far.

I currently use bio grow and bloom. But want to try something new.

It's either H&G, or GH new bio sevia range. I'd give H&G a go if i were you. They are a solid company, with a proffessor in every part of plant science working on their stuff. They arn't messing about.

If anything, you must get the roots excelurator and bud-xl.

Sorry for rambling. Just like to big these guys up, as my yields, bud density and over-all health has been improved since i dropped my old products for these ones i listed.

House & Garden (Van de Zwaan) is an amazing product!

From what I understand about the O2 pumps is that once the nutrients are mixed they begin to react and O2 facilitates this reaction. Once mixed it is only good for a few hours. They are not inorganic salts they are highly chelated nutrient with incredible bioavailability.

My hydro guy told me the same thing and I went several months saying, "yeah, yeah I can't justify $350+ for enough to get through two crops". Well... I broke down and said "what the hell if it actually doubles harvest it would be worth it and if not you'll be the first to hear about it". It truly is an amazing set of products though their effectiveness individually may not be noticeable. I am running the full line just as prescribed. I am getting fruits that are at least double in size from any harvest with any other product I have used including Fox Farm, Advanced, BioBizz, and others while looking for what works best and H&G is it! The shooting powder alone is amazing and the company claims 30% increase using that product alone. It induces a second flowing phase over the first after 3-4 days from administration. The result is quite remarkable; most of the fruits put out another .5-1in of new stem in 10 days and in currently filling in resulting in massive and dense fruit.

I've got my set up split into two harvest separated by a month so I harvest and plant monthly. The set that is finishing only received the new nutrients for 5 of the 8 flowering weeks and looks much heavier than the last. Next months harvest is HUGE (since they got the new fertz the whole time). I am 90% sure that it will in fact be a double harvest. My harvests drop from 1.75oz/plant on FoxFarm to 1oz/plant on BioBizz; I think House & Garden will average 2oz/plant again and the next set will average 3.5oz/plant. My plants are roughly the same size everytime I put them into flower and I notice a HUGE difference. I am sold and they have a life-long customer.

I will post final harvest weight (oz-avg/plant) in a couple weeks for this harvest and again for the next harvest at the end of September. I'll take a picture of the shooting powders power and post sooner than that if you all are interested. It looks like reveg but in a timely manner so that the fruit has time to fill in (I have had this happen late in the harvest and had to wait 10+ weeks for it to finish this only takes 8).

I have read from other sources that they are willing to give starter kits to potential customers, value in the neighborhood of $150 (I think A+B, BudXL and TopBooster). Write them and say that you want to try before you buy. They are so sure you will like it that you will come back.

-Good Luck!-

Let me know if they do in fact send you samples!

Here are the pics I promised:

Silver Haze (notice the stems popping out). These stems bust out 3-4 days post Shooting Powder, they started as just stems and are now filling in with 12 days to go.

This is my favorite strain. It didn't throw fresh stems out like some did but is plumping up from the inside.

Another examples of Shooting Powder doing its thang on my Jack Frost (highly sativa).

EDIT: please dont link to 3rd party image hosting site's as per posting guidelines. thanks

Side notes: The spottiness on the leaves of silver haze was caused by mineral deficiencies prior to H&G product line however the curled leaves started after using shooting powder. I think it has pushed them to the limit which is why they look a little stressed. I am asking a lot from them in their final weeks.

I will do mate. Thanks for the idea. Buds look great too! :D

For security sakes just upload your pics here using the attachment option in the post choices. Photobucket and imageshak and others will give your info including your links to Leo if asked. It's stated in their user agreements. It seems harsh at first but it really is for the security of all members here.

Not a problem. Didn't see the paper clip :p

Thanks for looking out for my privacy!

The order should be silver haze, corvallis chronic and jack frost.

I should also mention I use CarboLoad (I think it is in the Advanced product line) during the last 4 weeks.

I did send an email to 2 of their 3 address' listed 3rd one was dead. So one of the two responded and referred me to call a guy (Eric + the tele #)) at the other site. He said he was sending me the entire sample set. Cool! When it arrives I'll tell all that came with it. He did say it would be the set with aqua flakes (This is good as I plan to do an ID grow soon) and the other ones mentioned already like bud-xl and such. :D This sample case is what they usually send to the stores I am told. This should be a cool prezzy. Thanx again suougibma for the idea. :D

How exactly did you ask for it?
Well I sent an email stating who I was and what products I currently use and that I heard great things about their product. I then asked if the had sample or trial packs that I may use/try to compare the products with.

A man named Mike Kent replied in an email and stated : Please contact Humboldt Wholesale for inquiries regarding sample cases.......

Usually they have samples ( dedicated to store owners for distribution to end users ) but from time to time run out. I can't guarantee they will be able to send you any samples but that would be the place to ask.

When I talked with Eric on the phone he was pleseant and asked various questions regarding my grow media and such. He then said he would send the whole pack with Aqua flakes. He then suggested I do a side by side grow with the products I have and the ones they send. I plan to do this too. Will make a great journal IMO. This should be fun. I plan to use White Russians as the test subjects under the same lighting and such.:D

I also have the tele# but would prefer that they give it to you as I wouldn't want these folks swamped because of me.

Maybe they do! They are free for a reason. Its cheaper and more effective than advertising. Give some products away, have them experience the difference and gain a new customer who tells everyone to get a free sample to see for themselves and so on.

I don't recommend giving the number out though. Besides their email is easy to find and they are responsive.

Yep my thoughts too. They give the # once you send an email. Just go to the link on the first post of this thread. If you send the email to humboldt you wont need the phone# as they said they where gonna send me a sample pack from that email anyway. ;) I used these two. One of them actually goes to Humboldt. steve@house-garden.us info@house-garden.us :D

The sample pack arrived today. Quite a nice pack too for free especially. I did pay 16$ for the shipping as I'm not a business. It has Aqua Flakes A, and B, Multi Zyme, Top Booster, Magic Green, Bud-XL, Drip Clean, 3 bottles of Roots Excelurator, and a packet of shooting powder. I'll be testing these out on my next grow in a few months. Can't wait! :D

The packet of shooting powder wasn't photoed.

A lot of it is (microbial, enzymatic and algae/kelp extracts). However I would let them know that you are an organic grower and I'm sure they will send you all the organic products they have and not the others. They do seem sensitive to the growers needs IME.

Pretty much but actually 1 Liter (33.81 oz) bottles and when mixed makes 250L for the Aqua flakes and for Bud-XL it makes 1000L. :D

H&G Root Exelurator Comes In A Aluminium Container For Heating Purposes And is The Flagship Product Of The H&G Range
@ £120.00 A Litre , I Have Often Wondered It's Benefits Over H&G's MultiZyme, Which Comes In @ £20.00 Per Litre
Whats The Difference
Another Example Of H&G Pricing ; Shooting Powder
5 Sachets Of H&G Shooting Powder Cost £35.00 ( Makes 500 Litres )
Now The Exact Same Product , But In Liquid Form It Costs £120.00 A Litre , And Makes less Than 500 Litres
I Have Tried Their Enzyme Products , But Think Both Metrop.nl And hesi.nl To Be Far Superior Cannasuer Feeds
Also I Believe Bio Nova XL To be A More Economical Alternative.
