Morning,
Would anybody like to take a guess at if I saved a male and female lowryder 2and sat them together in the sun for a few weeks, the resulting seeds would also be autoflowering?
From my position of knowing cock-all about it I'd guess that some would and some wouldn't.
10 seeds cost 60Euro in the shop!

I would think if the original seeds were 100% autoflowering, that the resulting seeds would be too. why not?

I wonder about that lowryder, its got some traits Most growers just arent used to dealing with. I'm not sure of lowryder #2, but lowryder is a ruderalis hybrid, so unless the autoflowering is a totally dominant gene, you will get a variation of some that autoflower, and some that don't. This is what I read happens with the first lowryder, which makes me very unsure about growing it cuz I'm afraid that in the same group of seeds I'd get some that want to autoflower and some that don't, which would be very confusing to try and light properly.
Do you know what makes up the genetics of lowryder #2? I thought the first one was either a skunk cross, or a northern lights cross but this memory is from a while ago...

its Lowryder crossed with Santa Maria.
It'll be outdoors so no worries about the light.

oh yeah outdoors... that would be interesting then, I would think you would see some pheno's that want to autoflower, and some that want to wait till the light changes.

Chucked in a few LR#2xLR#2 seeds this summer just to see what would happen and I´ve been pretty happy with the outcome.
The first 4 I germinated using the paper towel in glass method. 2 autoflowering females & 2 not autoflowering.
The second batch of 10 were germinated in jiffy pellets and that gave 4 autoflowering females, 2 autoflowering males and 3 not autoflowering. 1 died. I chucked out the males and the slowcoaches.
Unfortunately I´m not around enough to look after them properly and they will be at the mercy of the drip system. We´ll see how it goes.
