View Full Version : What's the earliest your plants showed gender?

Never had this occur before, but I have some Afgan dream x God bud that I was gifted seeds for. In my current grow I planted 4 of them, all germed fine, but I lost one to a cat and I burned one under a lamp. The other two both showed their balls at either 4 weeks if you start the timer from the date they went into soil, or about 5 weeks if you count when they first popped up. I have never had this happen before, and I was pretty surprised, especially since during veg I am always advising the plants that becoming male will lead to their immediate demise, and becoming girls will lead to a charmed pampered life. These two did not listen and they are now out of the grow room, and I guess you could say they are on death row as one of the next few evenings they get taken to the compost pile.
Anybody else ever experience this?

The dos mofetas I had showed sex a day over three weeks old. I'm growing organic and actually they broke ground and spent the first 3 weeks within two and a half feet from my 1000MH. The longest was a sativa dom of some sort from fing, didn't show anything at all, not even a bump for a little over 3 months.

Same here Fing....I had a K2 male that grew the fastest I've ever seen a plant grow it was exactly 24 days and I confirmed the balls....I think I saw them beginning at 21 or 22 days

I had some WW show sex at 16-20 days. I was able to talk mine into going female after it showed hermie. They don't always listen man. Plants are stubborn too ya know.
I have a blueberry that shows female as early as three weeks VEG

most the starins ive grown have shown sex in the first 2-3 weeks....when i first started growing i never vegged more than 3 weeks but always knew the sex when going into flower;)

I have been known to show balls within seconds, but as for plants, the earliest sex show has been 12 days after the flip.

Yeah C99 by 7-8 nodes it will show sex in veg; the nearer you are to the original breeders release the more dead on 7th node:cool:
