Elephunt Man turned me on to this site and so I read for a couple of weeks and now feel comfortable to place my grow. I will break this down to a post for each week to get this caught up to where I am now....
I have a "sunlight shed" caddy and a closet that I keep my clones and mothers in. They are kept under flouro's until I want to start LST'ing them. At that time I am using my 400 watt MH lighting to train and veg them out. Once I have them splayed out I put them in the caddy and place the 400 watt HPS lighting on them. I plan to get 1/4lb from this batch of two plants. We'll see
I use tubs that have drip irrigation hooked to them, using the water pump in the tub. I also use 12" airstone. Once I run out of the Dyna products, I'm going to go pure organic and will switch out the airstone for a waterfall. I'm looking for any input here that will help me save electricity, time and yet not mess with the lovely bud. It's a personal grow so I'm not that worried about yield.
here is my grow plan:
Two clones "birthed" 12/13
Put into veg 1/28 pH 5.3 ppm 700 MH 24/0 T 80 H 34% nutes 1/8th strength dyna grow.

2/4 started LST

2/18 alternating nodes; changed to flowering. Plants were put into caddy with fresh water.
pH 5.6, ppm 800, HPS 12/12, T 73, H 43%, using dyna-bloom, sugar daddy and top max bloom stimulator (cuz they were given to me).

2/26 Oddly, the middle plant had the best root system but died. The plant on the right is ready for flowering, so the plant on the left will have to go on the ride. I keep the parameters stable in the caddy. I did add the CO2 bottle but have heard from some that it is not necessary, is for people looking for yield, not so much quality.??

3/4 you can see that I burnt (?) the left plant that was outgrowing the right plant... the right plant has stepped up to the plate now! still two plants...LST has had them fill in the area in the caddy horizontally and now the flowering will hopefully make them all grow up beautiful and tall and thick with bud :D
pH 5.5, ppm 578, HPS 12/12, T 70, H 40%, Dyna bloom, sugar daddy and top max bloom stimulator nutes.

Cool Rav baby! Looking forward to seeing you optomize that setup. I hope some of the big hydro guys in here will chime into help, this nice girl is very enthusiastic...and this is only her 2nd grow.
Show them some pics from your first harvest, I would love to see them again.:D

Yes, this is my 3rd grow actually...my first grow ended up with one plant and it was male.. my second grow is how I 'bumped' into Elephunt Man. Here are some pics of that grow. 4 NLxBB started from seed.

Welcome to our lil neck of the net,Im interested to see that Dyna product in action.Ive not seen to many use it,Ive tried the grow part of it and was pretty amazed, super concentrate, very little goes a long way.Back then i was just a pup in the game and like I said noone else was use'n the Dyna so it was difficult to get any solid answers,So i switched to GH 3 part which was very common across the boards.
I try to steer clear of the grow journals,Im not growing ATM,and these journals make me break out in the DT's ("withdraws").But,Its hard to resist a good HydroGro thanks for sharing.
So, Whatcha growing in there?

Thank you for posting on my journal. I have never used anything else so I wouldn't know the difference. GH is the most popular of chemical nutes.
You saw the beginning to end pics of my last grow. I started them from seeds and they are Northern Light x Big Bud. In veg I used Dyna-Grow 1 tsp per gallon and I changed water every other week. In flower I used Dyna-Bloom 1tsp in the beginning, towards the end of flower I boosted up my ppm to 1200 so I had more like 1 1/2 tsp per gallon and also halfway through flower I had been given Top Max Bloom Stimulator and Sugar Daddy. It seemed to do me quite well. I yielded 4.25oz from 4 plants (two plants were actually stifled due to the amount of room in my caddy, hence why I am only growing two plants, clones of the plants in the 2nd grow, this time around)
I hope when my chemical nutes run out I will have some great feedback on organic nutes for hydro...I would like to go totally organic. I've been reading like a mad woman and have found so much information, now I just need feedback to understand which is going to be good for me and my grows.

Hello Ravishing68, very nice looking grow you have posted up here.
I can only give .02 on Pure Blend Pro hydro organic nutrients as thats the only ones I've tried, but they were excellent nutrients and those I know that use them stand by them as being very easy to grow with.

Plants are filling in nicely, the LST has trained these two plants to take up the space that 4 used to and if I can just get the nutes correct, I'll be in heaven. They are starting their vertical ascent.
Please look at these pictures and if possible give me some insight on what I am doing wrong to cause the leaves to look like they do. I put a pic of a stem in because I see posts where they talk about the phenotypes and is the purple a good thing or is it showing me a nute deficiency?
pH 5.7, ppm 1190, HPS lighting 12/12, T 78-83, H 40-50%, nutes: 2 tsp dyna-bloom, 1 tsp sugar daddy, 1 tsp top max bloom stimulator/per gallon. approx. 5-6" height. about 10% of leaves have these injuries.

I wanted to show my newest seedling...introducing....
Nirvana Durban Poison x Skunk #1.
Durban Poison is a South African Sativa crossed with a potent Skunk developed in Holland to enhance the quality. Both inside and outside cultivation may be employed with good results, but it’s easier to manage outdoor. Buds are typically long and fat, the taste and aroma are sweet somewhat similar to Thai with a hint on anise flavor. Famouse for its energetic up high.
My one question...it is with 3 female NLxBB clones...could that mess up the seedlings sativa dom?

No. With that mix you'll end up with telly tubby fuckwit weed. Smoke that shit and you'll be carted off to a field of green where there is a language only you will understand.....
What is the question? Will one plant effect another's strain? Sex?
So how ravishing are you and if you're a guy, would ya?

LMFAO....my ribs hurt. Actually, she is pretty good looking (no rav, don't post pic).
She's a little green around the edges but learning fast.
Been a good 3 weeks since I laughed that hard though...thanks THC.:p

Hey EM and THC ... I'm always good for a laugh!!!
I am a female and I have a wonderful companion Dave.
I ended up flushing the plants and then EM said I could possibly shock them with no nutes, so I went back and pH at 5.6 ppm 444 Nutes: Dyna-Bloom 2 ml T 74-83 H 42%. As of today, I've not seen much growth from them, but hopeuflly they'll spring back.

Yes, I kept your post about the nutes :) I will hopefully get this right now.
If it were me, and I realise it ain't, I would be running my ph a bit higher in flower. 5.9-6.0 is a good number for the first 5/6 weeks to make sure all the P and K the plants want is available to them.
In the last 2/3 weeks of flower I find you can drop the ph and ppm as they just suck up the water to plump those flower clusters. The numbers differ of course between phenos, but the principle remains the same.
Nice pics btw 2thumbs
Luck with the Durban cross, the straight Durban rates as one of my favourite smokes

How do you know if the plant is not getting enough P and/or K? I am using dyna-bloom and I have been following the directions, but if they were low in P how would I know? and what can I do to just raise the P? or K?

hey ravishing, if your looking to increase you p and k then go to the local hydro store and get pk 13/14. great stuff to fatten the buds up.
cheers mate looking great so far.
I edited my first post cos I've been away from the game for few months, 5.9-6.0 is preferred. Its not because of your nutrient lacking in P or K or anything else in particular (generally) its the fact that your ph is what governs the plants ability to uptake the necessary elements. With K your quite safe with a lower ph whereas anything over 6.0 will start running into lockout problems. P however like nothing lower than 5.8, as does Mg which mj is quite fond of.
It can also be strain dependant, some don't seem to mind a ph which is out of whack or fluctuating a great deal whereas the last sativa I grew only had to get a whiff of 5.6 or lower inbetween adjustments to tell you with burnt/wrinkled/unhappy leaves.
There is a chart over on another  site I can send you a link to if you wish.

There are plenty of PH charts floating around HGB, if that's what you're talking about.

I follow this chart that was given to me. but how do you know it is P or K or Mg? I use Dyna Bloom which is supposed to have everything the plant needs. I flushed the plants once and then added fresh nutes, didn't want to shock them to death. In the mean time the other plants I put into flower...the tub is exactly like someone I was following, but I am using a DWC with drip and he uses ebb/flow... I need shorter tubs for my system, the all have great roots but it got warm in the closet and almost cooked two of the plants. I'll take pics tonight when they wake up and post them... Thanks everyone for your input...100 heads are better than one eh? :D

Here's the newest pics of my grows.
The Caddy tub, I've doubled up on the water, + 2 tsp Dyna Grow. This brought my water to: ppm 450, pH 5.9 They've dropped most of their yellow dead leaves and so hopefully will see some good buds forming now.
The Closet grow ... had to change out the oscillating fan it is so old I feel it might be the biggest problem of my electric bill. So we put a different one in there and it was as fast as the old one so the first night two of the plants didn't take to the heat at all. I think the front plant will reverse itself but I might of lost the back plant.
DPxSK lassie is doing quite well...the heat didn't seem to bother it.
Got clones up the yingyang, so perhpas my next grow will just be of the clones in a tub straight flowering.

ok, messed up pics somehow... The first pic above is the clones, the 2nd is the closet grow.
I'll now try to add the DPxSK plant and the caddy grow.

Ok...I think uploading is having problems with my files cuz they are by date and I am going to different subfolders and uploading only sees the file name. thinks I'm duplicating... here is the caddy grow.
I follow this chart that was given to me. but how do you know it is P or K or Mg? I use Dyna Bloom which is supposed to have everything the plant needs
Thats what I'm saying, as ur chart will show you (the one I was going to link you to btw) anything under 5.8 starts locking out P and Mg, its not a matter of your nutrients of choice lacking them, its your ph allowing the plants to uptake them.
When I saw some of your posts listing a ph lower than that I thought I would mention it, thats all :) If ur happy with your results and technique (and judging by the pics you should be) don't worry about it :2cents:

Ook ok I get it now. so either adjust the pH up or add P... thank you very much... just couldn't visualize it until I read your post, now it makes sense.

If the ph is out of range to uptake P then add'n more will do nothing :)
around 5.8-6 works great in hydro

the DBxSk#1 is male... EM would love it... I have no understanding of the males so it seems a waste to me... Last I'd looked over this plant and moved the pipecleaners was the 21st and didn't notice this...now...heck, how can you miss it???

using the male DBxSk#1 to put the NLxBB plants with it to seed. Then I don't have to worry about the mother anymore and I can shut down for the summer. I was fiddling tonight and was looking at the NLxBB grow under the microscope. I find it artwork :)

Let's see where I am here with where I am ...here...
I had two plants in the caddy one on the right was having difficulties and I wasn't happy with it nor was it happy so I did us both a favor and butchered it. Then as it was, when deciding to completely change out the tub, the plant on the left got it's roots chopped by accident. I then took the NLxBB clone that was with the DPxSk#1 male and put it in the caddy with the chopped roots plant. I figure in a week I'll be butchering the left plant. Need to keep the right plant happy for at least 4 weeks to get viable seed so she is comfy in her new home.
I have about 15 clones that I've put into an ebb/flow container. This tub is 10 gallon rubbermaid, bottom 1/2 filled river rock, top 1/2 filled with hydroton. Getting lazy with clones, some are in 2" neo plug, others just in the hydroton, some in a 2" netpot with hydroton... butchered mother plant after taking clones.
And so we're off....on a new grow...from scratch.
Seeds: 3 Cherry Molawi
Placed in tupperware on damp paper towels ($2000 worth of tupperware and can you find one @%&%@ lid when you need it???). 4/4/7
Three beautiful sprouts, replaced paper towels with rockwool cubes. pH 5.6 ppm 350 (just tap water and rockwool, had to pH down it). 4/6/7
Placed on shelf, room temperature (72-78 degrees) no added heat or light.
