My grow room is dropping 20 or more degrees at night when the lights go out. I am running an 18/6 light schedule, vegging my plants. Can I switch the plants on 24 hours of light without shocking them to keep the light on constantly to warm the room?

Yes to your question...
What are the maximums? a 20* swing is well within reason if your max is above 80*

At times the room is getting to 80. The lows have been around 57 to 59 at night. Where I live the temperature is warming and should be cold for just a few more weeks. Should I let it be or what?

really that is not too bad of a temp drop. You would want the temps really to not get below 65- 70 depending on strain for most optimal grow, but this is an over used quote in my opinion, as I have seen many strain do fine in the great outdoors, in temps as low as the 40's so long as its not an every night occurance

It's a call mahn... The cooler temps are not go'in to hurt a thing but will slow progression slightly. I use cool temps sometime when i mis schedule clones and need to slow'um down, but on plants already in veg the affect won't be as dramatic. I also look at the energy cost of more hours of light. To go from 18/6 to 24/0 reqiures a 33% increase in light'in overhead alone and with lights constantly on, heat buildup will have to be delt with which will run up the cost even more. I personally don't think enough production can be gained to justify the added expence.
