Here's a little something I put together in D.I.Y. (ghetto) style.
Since Earth Juice requires you aerate their ferts constantly for atleast 24 hours before use.
This raises the pH to a buffered reading appropriate before feeding.
If not ...the pH will read as almost 4.2....too low for MJ plants.
Now before the soil masters jump my case and state that a well prepared soil or soilless mix with lime will also do the trick...... True ...100%
....but I'm a gadget guy
I need this to also aerate my h2o for watering.
If I take the top off of the container I've created a mini humidifier as well.
More bang fo rmy buck.
Here's what I did. I took a 1 gallon water container I use for mixing nutes and ferts for feeding and drilled 2 small holes on opposites sides.
Connected an airstone to a hose and valve ...then attached that to a small aquarium air pump.
Plugged it and created The Earth Juice Bubbler.
Here are some playing around pics of what it took.
I bought 3 ft of standard aquarium hose $0.45
One aquarium airstone $0.79
One air pump that is super quiet ....and cool looking .$8.99
Ive seen this in someone's journal but I don't remember where
anyway......one of these....
Grand total $ 10.74....I'll take that
......by the way the container is from my store bought water.
I'll keep this in my flowering cab and when it's feeding time, the container will be ready. Plus any organic smells and scents will vent to outside as well.

Nice little bit there profound, and good to see ya over this way, but I have 1 Q for ya... Is there a chance that your light in the flower box could have a negative effect on the nutrient mixture? degrading it?

...:::back to the drawing board.....
seems I'll need to cover that puppy so there aren't any light leaks.
Time to get to Home Depot or Lowes and find a couple gallon sized black buckets or containers.
One for tea brewing and the other for bubbling Earth Juice:D

How about organics for soil mediums or soilless mixes ??
I've actually put this together for bubbling Earth Juice for 24hrs before feedings to balance the pH at 7.0.
Then I use pH down to dial it in for 6.5 - 6.8.....the perfect feeding.
Ive found that if you pH Earth Juice right at the mixing of what's required then the pH will creep up on you in 1 to 2 days and possibly cause some fluctuations that'll block and lock nutes and trace elements.
I call it the long way around;) 2thumbs

Hey Profound, ...Interesting thread. 2thumbs
I didn't know you had to aerate any nutes like that..and the pH thing kinda tripped me out...what's happening there?
ya know..now that black plastic containers came up..when I was mixing my own p-k for flowering I made a few resevoirs and just drilled a hole as near to the bottom as I could so the plastic on/off faucet thing I bought wasn't hanging to low. put the faucet in and sealed it with silicon..wahla..another thing I was doing was aerating the water with an aquarium powerhead ..one with a venturi..even had submersible heaters in the toward the end. 2cents
haha..btw..I hope you are not venting toward the neighbors. j/k :D..my first grow box was in my bedroom...my first ordeal with bloodmeal got so bad that me and the wife were giving each other curl-nosed glances..like wtf!?...after about 3-4 daze I realized it was the bloodmeal...phew, that stuff is gawd awful ...but an organic hydro still interests me.

yeah dibbz, its their Pure Blend Pro series of nutrients. But its not 100% organic because a good bit of the nutirents are derived from raw salts just like chem ferts.

It's something with Earth Juice....where when you pH the mixture and add it to soil or a soilless mix, the pH drifts up. Or at least with my grow it has.

I placed the Fertilizer bubbler in my Mom Cab which is now empty and dark.
I also re-designed what I was using. I use a gallon container with 2 small holes as carbs in the top and one larger hole for the hose to fit inside to the bubbling stone.
Venting hasn't been an issue with Eath Juice, but Blood meal and Mexican Bat Guano....D A M N they stink....work fast and great tho'
....as for organic hydro growing....no thanks.
I'll stick with a solid medium for now.2thumbs

im bringing this post back from the dead...hopefully someone out there will hear me...
i built a similar bubbler and after 3 days of bubbling EJ Bloom and fossilized seabird guano....the ph is still reading 4.5-5.0...i use a massive amount of ph up to get it to 6.5...
any reason why EJ is so acidic?

well i had alook at earth juice site and it says
Option: Mix, then cover with a vented top and aerate for 24 hours. Thoroughly agitate and filter through a 100 mesh screen. Add to nutrient solution.
this is not a MUST but is optional.also doesn't mention anything about neutralizing Ph levels but does say ya should filter through a screen.
also says not to store the stuff so it all sounds abit contradicting to me:rolleyes:

Earth Juice used it in soil grows and that mother is strong ju ju. Surplus left in tray not taken up by plants goes stinking hydrogen sulphide reeky in a very short time. You have to be a fool or a very brave man to put that shit next to your root system in a bubbler.
Just :2cents: :2cents: worth from a hydro novice.

After a long period of using Earth Juice products and wondering what method works and experimenting with bubbling or aeration of the feedings....I've grown with it's usage and found that mixing the desired strength per gallon and properly adjusting to a favorable and stable pH......I now allow my feedings to sit for about and hour before using (why ?) ...uhh because.....
.....seems that Earth Juice is a good choice in soil and just needs to be balanced before feeding. In our search for secret methods and magical tactics to improve our quality and quantity the secret to organics is simply.....feed the soil while feeding the plant.
When fed organic substances, plants will only take in the nutrients they need, leaving the rest in the soil. Additionally, organic fertilizers are broken down slowly in the soil by microorganisms, which ensures a steady supply of nutrients to your plants; also, lots of soil microorganisms are good for the soil and consequently, your plants as well.
What ever method you choose and use.....be sure to pH the feedings properly.
