Hello! :hello: Welcome to my journal. I'll be documenting the progress of 4 female clones. The only solid part of my plan is at sometime or another I will smoke them. :rasta: I will take a bunch of pictures.
See you soon. :peace:

I'm not sure if they've rooted yet, CB. I'll find out for you when I transplant them. :newbie: They have grown a little bit though..
First picture is of the BR1947 and CT clones, about a week since the last post.
Second and third pictures are of the new fluorescent t12 tubes i picked up today. I hadn't really ever shopped for them before and there were more types than i was aware. In the two pictures, the bulbs that appear red correspond with the red box, and same same. The red bulbs do not actually look that red in real life, more like a bright white. They seem to be much brighter than the blue bulbs, which really do look like that. Just a bit of newbie information.

Everything is lookin' good with the transplant. :)
Keepin' the two small plants in those solo cups for now. No sense killing them.

Thanks for the kind words CB. I'm excited myself. Another week I say before things get interesting.
Some pictures, leaves are starting to get big and green now. :)
Why are they still alternating? I took these clones from flowering plants, but the reveg process is taking forever.

The Cherry Thai was outgrowing the Blue Rhino 1947, so I broke her neck. This will, hopefully, give the BR1947 a chance to catch up in height. Let's see how long it takes to right itself.
say bro,
pretty good kink in her neck for sure.... maybe try a slow stem rub until it lays over's next time ?
with break'n the fiber's longs way the plant will do much better come harvest time ;) verses a break across the grain like
we still want the top to be able to uptake nutes no?

I started training the Cherry Thai. BR1947 is not tall enough yet.
Thoth
02-06-2007, 03:26 PM
Kind of forced the BR1947 over. It worked out well, but I was just tired of waiting for her to grow to a more manageable height.
I added a top layer of earthworm castings, mexican bat guano, and peruvian seabird guano to each of them.
I finally transplanted those two little clones in the foam cups. They look pretty bad at first glance, but i am pretty sure they are just hungry; their roots are thick and white. These are experiment plants, and i mixed up a really hot mix for them. We'll see!
Peace.

:hello: Hey. Thanks for stopping in and saying nice things.
Moved the plants from one spot to another. Had no problems untying them and doing it over again; this was my intent. They're under a 400 watt blue enhanced bulb now. I am keeping it quite a bit above the plants, probably moreso than needed or recommended, but plan to lower it slowly.
Unfortunately, HPS = Shitty pictures. I'll come up with something to make them better. Peace.

Lol! :p Yes, it will. Not necessarily in veg, but I doubt i'll switch the light out. Let me tell you, my HPS light is HEAVY. I hardly want to adjust it's height, nevermind remove it from the closet and replace it with my ghetto rigged shop lights. Basically, i wasn't complaining about the benefits of HPS: In fact that's why i am using it. But the pictures really do come out shitty. In the end, I get to smoke this weed - You only get to look at it. So i'll try and make the pictures nice.
Thanks for stopping by high2dasky.

My Cherry Thai girl is kicking ass, and is the perfect plant for LST. :) The BR1947 is also very healthy, but sucks for LST. :D She wont hardly get any taller, just seemingly tighter and wider. I will make it do what i want it to either way, so no worries.

I untied the BR1947 for a picture. Next time I will do the CT, but it's a bit more work, and I didn't have it in me today. Nice to see some color in the picture again.

I think if I allowed more time in between posts, the pictures would be more dramatic with change. Checking out my plants everyday I feel as though they're constantly getting bigger, and more impressive, and worthy of pictures. I'm sure no one minds that i am senselessly uploading photos, but sometimes I wish I had more to offer. :smoke:
Check out my BR1947! :teef: I think she's pretty as hell. Very tight, and strong. I can't wait to see what it looks like a few weeks into flower.
However long ago I transplanted those struggling clones. They perked up quickly. I can tell their still adjusting to the nutes in the soil, but they're green now. I am totally unsure of what to do with these plants, and am open to any interesting ideas? Maybe there's something you'd like to see pictures of.
Peace everyone. Thanks for stopping by my journal. Hopefully I come up with a good idea by the next time I can't help but snap a picture. :D

I'm really falling for this CT girl.. Hehe. Swear i'm getting close to an inch of growth on every node every day. Gives me a lot to tie down, anyway.
The BR1947 continues to get taller at a snail's pace. :watch: She is the midget body builder of the weed world. :p I hear she stretches pretty well in flower.
I didn't learn so much from growing these plants parents last time, they were too small and trained too wacky for me to get an appropriate idea of what to expect now that they're big.
I haven't fed either of them anything yet, if you don't include the mild topdressing. I think I am finally starting to see the signs that they may have enough stomach for some food, But i don't want to push things. No sense in giving them something they don't need, while they're still green and smiling. Recently i received a comment saying 2.5 above the top of the plants is too far away for a 400 HPS. I think that's bull, right? :P I have a big plant, and a really tight plant; so I don't see exactly where the 2.5 feet is killing me. Also, I do not have any fans in my closet. How important do you guys think this is? I don't have much floor space, unless I put a fan directly behind one of the plants and almost 4 feet away from the other. Would a small fan hanging and blowing downwards on the plants (from an angle of course) really be beneficial to me?
Peace

((pushing EM over)) Hey there is room for me in shotgun too!!! LOL. Looks fantastic Thoth.. I'm going to do a search on you and get more info on your screen. That looks just the ticket for what I want. I can make a million of the ties using spare sewing items I have.

Hey cb, that one branch you pointed to is going to be my CT mother. Lol! Decided to let it grow how it wanted rather than tie it, and just cut it off before I flower.
Hey eman, yup.. no ventilation, really. Closet ceiling is attic entrance, and I leave it cracked open. Closet doors are not air tight; so any ventilation they get is passive, or from when I open things up to look at them.
Hey Ravishing. Thanks for stopping by dude, nice to meet you. Thanks for the nice words. Don't know how much info you'll find about me, unless you mean "Thoth", an egyptian god. Lol! If you have any questions at all, please ask. I would like for this thread to be more informative, but I obviously cannot be left to this task alone.
Thanks all. Peace.

Finally got around to watering, and tying the plants. I let it go a little longer than I should have, and while the plants did not droop from dehydration, I can see they're starting to suck up some greenness from those older fan leaves. I think they are telling me: Hey Thoth, How long did you think we were going to grow without any food? Give us a break.
So I will, next time. Heres some pics. The small plants pictured are the same age as my big plants. :p

Two different views in the picture i've attached. One with camera flash, one with HPS lighting. Seems to be the only leaf affected in any severe fashion.

CB was right. I had been starving them. The leaves suffered a bit, but I hit them both with tea and a topdressing; the new growth is green again. I will continue to remedy the problem, and hopefully prevent it from happening again. Live and learn ( Or so i tell myself ).
I unstrapped the CT completely to check her out in different lighting, and to see if there were roots underneath. PLENTY of roots! Whoa! Coming out every drainage hole.
Here's some pics.

Been a while. Over 2 and a half months veg. I had some nutrient problems... Basically I was starving my plants. The BR1947 just yellowed a bit, I hardly lost any leaves. More of the CT's leaves died and fell off, but the new growth is hardy and green on both plants.
The two small plants in the middle: I think i'll transplant them to a slightly larger potsize, trim off anything that's sticking too high through the net, and flower them along with the other two plants. Fill in the center of the screen like.
Can't wait to see 'em stretch. Sorry for the kinda lousy pics. Lazy.
look'n good Thoth :)

Cherry thai pics first, then BR1947.
Pics of the whole plant, specific budshots, side views to show the forest of little buds sticking up in the air. I did better this time.
Also a few pics of the plants I kept in small pots. One is c99 and the other is a clone from the same plant as the bigger CT. They have vegged over 2 and a half months, and are now flowering in those little pots. :p

Why tie them down in that fashion if your letting them loose now?
Thoth
05-02-2007, 03:50 PM
Why tie them down in that fashion if your letting them loose now? I wanted to LST, FTPABomber, not scrog. Heh. I just used the screen so that I could more effectively train them. Now that they're not stretching anymore, I want to let them go so that they can get more light, I can move them closer together, and hopefully they clump together to make bigger buds, as opposed to a lot of small ones. And, well actually, I'm doing it because CB told me to. I trust that old fart.
I am pretty happy with the way this has worked out, but I'll see for sure in a few weeks.
peace.
By the way: I am Gorilla. I'm not hiding from anyone on this board, I use this name to post pics of my grow for my own safety. I feel pretty safe "outing" myself in just this one post. Lol. Peace again guys.
