This is my 1st post at this site so I hope all goes well...lol.
Anyways I picked this stuff up last week while Christmas shopping.
It`s called Gel 2 Root for taking clones.
Has 2 types of hormones in it, so I grabbed it for shits and giggles.
Says ya get roots in 10 to 14 day`s.
Well this stuff is fuggin great. 5 days and I got roots, made by PlanterPride.
I can`t clone worth shit, that`s why I grow from seed, but this is something I can really use.
Don`t know if ya can get it in the States but I got mine at Zeller`s in Canada.
$13 and change for 6 little pudding cups of clear gel, say`s you can put 3 cuttings in each cup so I did.
3 clones of Jaysprout`s K9M39, no wilt, no yellowing, and I got roots in 5 days.
It`s in my cupboard to stay now...lol.
Here`s some pics of what it looks like.
Sorry for being so long winded.

Hey Cowboy.
There was a post (https://svr52.ehostpros.com/%7Ehomegr52/forums/showthread.php?t=390)about this same product quite some time ago, But we didn't get to see it in action or know if it worked. Thanks! I would buy 'em too if i were walking past. :p Those are some healthy looking clones!
G
I've seen that stuff in catalogs before but kinda just skipped past it. Sounds like tha bomb, as they young'ns say these days.

I always just assume everyone clones LoL! So glad you found something easy that works for ya bro! You'll be wanting to keep a mommy around of that Blackberry Jam heh heh, I would guess :)
So many peeps I run across that can't/don't clone locally here in the med community, I will look and see if I can find that stuff around here and so then I can give them a heads up to this killer option; thanks for sharin' Cowboy! Also way jazzed you are gettin' your clone on hahahah! :p

I had some clones that came in that stuff.. They took 3 weeks to root. They all eventually rooted but it took forever.
I use Stim Root no3 rooting powder and peat pellets for cloning.. 100% success with this method and all root within a week to 9 days maximum.
I dont recommend the gel 2 root stuff, but it does work... eventually

I dunno if this applies to you spangly, but the ambient temps and the light source/spectrum have a lot to do with it as well.
It always blows me away how cloning is so very much based on the individual, but really different techniques work for diff peeps. Whatever works for ya mang LoL 2thumbs

I've seen those at walmart. Looked cool, any idea whats in it?
If it makes you go from no clones, to roots in 5 days, then thats great man, good to hear.
I use water and air bubbles, 100% root rate on anything properly cloned.
Water and air is as cheap as it gets.

Wow! 5 days? That is impressive, my man.:gthumb: Those are some huge clippings to, I thought bigger cuttings take longer to root...you are surely going to be moving at 'light speed' now as opposed to seeds:) .
I have had incredible success with my homemade aerocloner, no prep, hormones, presoak, underwater cuts or anything. In fact, funny story, I was doing a little constuction in the growroom and accidentaly knocked over a t-square that 'side swiped' a plant. I knocked a pretty good branch off right at the stem:mad: , I was so pissed I just kind of threw everything down and walked away in disgust:( . After about a 15 minute smoke break to calm down and regroup, it finally occured to me to go put the branch in the cloner. Picked the poor branch up, wilted and all off the concrete and after an hour or so, it popped back up to life:eek: . Pretty sure I will never use any other method now;) , cloning has become much less tedious this way. I usually take a whole handful of cutting at once on my way to the cloner:p .

Yep yep, I'm with ya there amigo. That's another way that for some reason I just can't wrap my head around, why it doesn't work for some peeps. But if it does, yeah baybee, it is the best and easiest, cleanest and fastest way I have found. I run an aero cloner and a bubble cloner and I run them all 24/7 all the time just add water here and there. Killer simple.

LoL I have rooted them after the fuzzy kitty had eatin' most of the leaves off a freshly rooted clone (his favorite) and it had sat on the carpet for about 3 hours  BAM, no muss no fuss; beautiful mang :D

Morning all
just an update on this gel 2 root stuff.
Don`t work worth a shit...I had roots on 1 of the cuttings in 5 days ...then...
nothing , they stopped right there:eek: no more new roots , nothing.
It`s been 19 days now and I know I can beat that with my homemade bubble cloner ,so this product gets a big THUMBS DOWN... from thecowboy.
Might be good for the veggie garden ... but not MY garden.
Hope this helps someone from making a mistake.
Howdy there cowboy….pi here….Could I suggest you try and cut smaller clones…maybe half that size or smaller…… With all of the foliage those examples have the demand on the stem to uptake enough water to support the plant is considerably more than it can handle comfortably.
Best of luck

Dont use gel 2 root type stuff. its weird and gross. hahah.
I got a bottle of stim root no 3 rooting powder for like $4 and a bag of 100 peat pellets for $10. puff the peat pellets in clean RO water. take your cuttings, dip the ends in powder as far as youd like (at least 1cm!), insert into a puffed pellet. Put in a dome type environment (humid) with a bit of air movement (some holes, or a small gap along the edges in my case). I allow some water to sit at the bottom of their tray while covered, because it's really dry so it evaps quickly, even with little airflow. . This method has roots out the sides of the pellets in 3-6 days with the BR1947 and shiskaberry clones that I have taken. :D
they sit in the veg chamber under 24/0. at about 35 celcius.

same....works well for us too...use the same method and have nice roots (especially that Shishk) in 5 days

I think it would be a good idea to trim those fan leaves a bit when cloning to reduce transpiration while the roots are forming. Like maybe cut each one back by half. Just a nickle's worth of advice in advance of pennies being eliminated in the states.

As the man says.
Except... I steam en under the dome for 2 days max, and get minimum 94% success from xxx clones a go.... areo clone.....
