Champagne huh? There was a grower swore by that stuff, CaptainBowlPiece, and used to grow some amazing plants. I hope its strong enough to offset that Juicy Fruit too, but then the JF I tried and grew wasnt the most potent of strains and the flavor never fit my pallet..

Lookin' foward to seeing 'em grow up, Spangly.

Sounds like a nice lineup of genetics.

Unlike Shadows... :P .. just the IDEA of Juicy Fruit x Champagne has my mouth watering. Hope all goes well, keep us updated.

Right on Spangly:gthumb:
Looking forward to seeing the JF x C growing. I've got some of the same beans lined up for the next run. Considering the breader I know these are gonna be killer. You ww x sea sat should be fun. Great stuf for rocking out. Got some ww x blueberry going right now. They get frosty young:D looking forward to watching your grow.:D

Just an update, my germ method seems to be my weakest point in growing.

Out of all of those seeds, they all popped, but their roots just will not grow longer than a couple milimetres! After 5 days in germ I decided to just put them in pots with soil and very close to the surface. That was early yesterday morning. . Today there is 1 WhiteWidow x SE Asian Sativa above ground, other than that, no others are above ground yet. :(

I hope I didn't blow it on these!

This will be fun! Are you gonna detail your mixes and stuff? That would be awesome!

I use the paper towel method like most others, except I put the folded (recycled) paper towel in a tuperware container closed tightly. Then I put that on a 'seedling heating pad'. After a few minutes, I get a nice coverage of water droplets all inside the container, very humid. Works excellent, on average over half the beans pop by 24 hours.

i went through a patch where i couldn't germ fuck all.i found that straight into soil worked....not to be put off i tried again n again and i found that my temps were to high.

i had the same prob as you....seeds would pop, show abit of tail and then thats it...after a few days the tails would turn a slight brownish.i have come to find that once this happens theres no chance for them..

just my 2 bobs worth;)

It's about 30 Celsius in there. they are in a container with a flip on lid, its propped ever so slightly open about a millimeter around the front edge. These seedlings were in clean CLOTH. not paper towel because the paper towel I have here is died funky christmas colors! I'm keeping a close eye on the seedlings/containers though.. I hope they pull through.. Im going to go out and invest in some good germination paper towel very soon.

Those fast food 35% recycled paper towels work great...the brown ones are a plus!

Im going to look for those big rolls of the brown stuff. It's always handy to have paper towel around for spills and drips and stuff too, plus it's great for germing, so I hear. :o

Good news!!

Today I found that I now have the following ABOVE GROUND!

2 JFxC
1 Skunk Merl
1 c99 x Eucalyptus x Lumbre
2 Sour Spangly
2 White Widow x SE Asian Sativa

It seems they might make it afterall!!!:D

Edit: I also got some paper towel that will work well for germing, so my germination problems should be over
